Our previous microwave died after about 11 years of faithful service. I found this after a quick search and it duplicates just about every feature that we were used to one the old one. It's interesting that after more than a decade, there really aren't any new features or design innovations in microwaves. I guess these have pretty much reached the level of evolution of a toaster where they are good enough and reliable enough. Anyway, this is 0.1 cu ft smaller than the old one and 100 watts less powerful but it seems to make no difference in cook times. The overall package is a little smaller too. It actually fits our built in cubby a little better. And the old one was white inside whereas this one is a dark gray enamel. I think I like the darker finish better. It won't discolor over time. The looks of this unit are sleek and clean. I like the fixed, curved handle on this unit vs the push button door release on the old unit. One less moving part to break. Simple is better. The matte finish is a good idea too. It doesn't show fingerprints like a shiny black finish does.

I like everything about this microwave. Great price for an average sized microwave. The perfect matte exterior. The gray interior that totally adds to overall style. Its large enough for a family size of 3 or more. Food heats up nicely. Defrost works great. I have used the sensor reheat twice because I am skeptical about it. The first try it didn't warm food enough. The second try it heated up 3 mugs of tea perfectly. I will continue to test this feature. I would recommend this item without hesitation.

I wanted a microwave with a handle that was sturdy. This Farberware unit is sleek and efficient. I use it to re-heat, defrost and cook oatmeal. Love the interior and the light when I open the door. The control panel is simple and straightforward. Thus far I am very satisfied and would recommend this microwave.

Microwave is great! Love the one touch feature and sensor cook option. I also like the door handle as opposed to the push button to open the microwave door,the matt black finish exterior looks great along with the blueish interior instead of the traditional white. The microwave itself is a 5star the 4star rating is because if you're not a Amazon prime member they seem to drag their feet on shipping

Product did not last a week , I live n a studio apt ad had no storage place to put the boxes that it came in I am 75, with spinal problems Getting packaging for tis Farbere thing and having to stuggle to package it. and facilate a return is a logistical nightmar The machine worked about two days and then problems developed., by day 5 the machine would not work. What does work well in the blue light clock. The clock has to be covered at night. as the blue litght on some electronics makes sleeping very difficult. i am just having to disconnect the microwave as it does not work and the blue light clock is making it very hard for me to fall asleep

Happy with this purchase, light is a little dim but it's not an issue for me. Smaller than my older one but the same size inside. Fits a whole dinner plate inside, cooks faster than my old one, looks nice, and I simply am happy. Read SO many reviews and was skeptical of every brand, seems they almost all have 3.5-4 stars. Been over a month, maybe closer to two months of use.

Bought this three years ago, to replace a Panasonic microwave that died after three years. I liked this one a lot, particularly small things like being able to instantly run it for 1, 2 or 3 minutes, and being able to add 30 seconds on to cook time with one touch. Used it several times a day. And then, yesterday, sparks started shooting out from the side enclosure where the light is, and there was smoke with the smell of burning. At this rate, maybe I should just imagine I'm renting the things.

I REALLY like this microwave! My only complaint would be it makes a slight buzzing/humming sound, which is louder when the door is open. I cannot hear it when I am a few feet away though - only when directly in front of it. The dark interior makes this look even sharper though. I would definitely purchase this again, assuming it holds up over time.
