Good color. - Good quality locking carabinier for key rings, light gear attachment or tarp tie-downs. Lightweight aluminum. Of course, NOT for climbing or life essential weight. Will buy again. Reasonably priced. Review: Great for clipping on your gear or other light duty - This carabiner is very cool looking and very sturdy. You can use it to hang your hammock, clip gear to your climbing harness, hang stuff around your campsite, and much more. They're locking so you don't have to worry about accidentally losing anything. They're slightly larger than carabiners you might find at the hardware or camping store and are definitely a lot tougher and more solid. What they are NOT for is supporting a human above a great chasm, cliffs, mountains, trees, or really anywhere. NOT FOR CLIMBING. Those exact words are stamped right on the carabiner, so there's no excuses. These biners are strong and sturdy - far beyond some dollar-bin biner, but they're not going to stop a full grown human from falling. A climbing carabiner is twice generally the size and thickness of this one.

Nice, strong, and light. Good buy, but right away the spring broke on one of them (the rest are fine).
The good: - they're fairly light (0.75oz) - despite their weight they feel like they'd handle a ton of weight - the locking cylinder is pretty easy to turn, and doesn't get in the way The bad: - I used four of these so far, and the spring broke on one of them within the first couple weeks. It's not really a safety issue -- it still holds weight, and the locking cylinder still holds it shut, it's just annoying that that one doesn't really work without locking it anymore. The others are still going strong. In all these are nice though and it was a good deal. As long as none of the others break I'd still buy these again.

Good casual use device
First? These are NOT rated for climbing. What you can use them for is simply attaching gear to one's belt, pack, pouch, or other strap with the idea that it will be there when you need it. The locking device keeps the carabiner secure and prevents accidental opening and risk losing your gear. The color selection gives the user the option to color-code your gear as needed. The particular design keeps the carabiner light weight and functional. These carabiners are really nice to have in campsite situations and have a number of uses.

Cheap and useful
I got these to clip onto my tie down straps for my truck as the hooks like to fall off while tying things down. They work well but I doubt the aluminum would hold against a lot of force. They're small and not designed for heavy use. Given the price, I don't think you'll go wrong with them. I have mixed feeling about the locking rings. I don't see a need for them, but maybe some people like the idea. Same day: I spoke too soon. Clip broke the first time I used it. Cheap crap. Ironically, the locking ring is the only thing making it good for something other than recycling as I can us it to close the clip. Couple days later: The company emailed me and refunded my money. I upgraded my review to three stars as I don't think these are intended to be used for utility purposes and my expectations were too high. They're fine for hanging things off of (keys and whatnot) but they won't hold up against above moderate tension.

Just ordered more!
Sometimes it takes a while to write a review. Summer heat came early and it was brutal. In June I used four of the carabiners to clip a sun screen to the back deck to block the sun from the sliding door. Winter snow came early(again) and I had to wait until the snow melted and the sun screen dried to unclip it it and roll it up. I went out pre-paired with WD-40 and pliers to loosen the carabiner locks and was SHOCKED that they unscrewed with no effort after being outside for seven full months. I just ordered more sets.

So great for so many tasks
Got these in the mail today, and I'm already in love with them. They are lightweight as they are advertised, but they are quite sturdy none the less. also, as in the instructions they should not be used for anything that is going to pull or tug on them with sudden force. What I've found tonight is that they are very sturdy so long as there are no sudden jerks or sudden force. This makes them perfect for tasks around the garage or in the storage shed or for sportsman and women. I also found that if you double them up it obviously doubles the strength. These are going to be great for magnet fishing and other tasks in which great sudden force is not a factor. And one final thing .... The craftsmanship is perfect.

Great product
So far we have purchased this carabiner set several times (4 orders in total). As stated, these are not make for climbing but for anything else, the uses are numerous. Everything that comes with one of those cheapy carabiners (water bottles, solar phone battery packs) now has one of these. Almost all of our backpacks (hiking and every day use) now have several of these attached and used almost every time that particular pack is used. We use them all the time and have yet to bend one out of shape. Holding tarps up with paracord, clothes lines, etc these locking carabiners fit the bill.
