Great alternative for solar
I bought this to use as a DC charger for my Ecoflow Delta powerstation in my overlanding vehicle. It charges my powerstation via the solar input at roughly 400 watts of simulated solar power when driving. This is perfect when solar charging is unavailable or not optimal. So far it's working great for my application. UTube has many videos on how to set it up.

Very high quality and simple to install.
Excellent device for converting from 24v to 12v. I'm using it in a large 5th wheel with a 24v battery bank in order to provide power to the 12v systems. With 70a of supply power there's no real need to install a 12v battery. The 70a capability provides more than adequate power to run our Lippert electric leveling jacks as well as for the day-to-day 12v systems in the RV. Construction is excellent and quality of the packaging was clean and neat. Installation was very simple by using a common ground connection to the 12/24v bus bars. Provide 24v on the input side and this will provide 12v on the output post. Heat generation is very low during typical operation. Output voltage is adjustable to match your exact needs or to account over voltage drop from the location of this converter to your main 12v panel. Absolutely would recommend this if you need to downconvert from 24vdc to 12vdc.

Victron Orion 12/20 Converter
Works as designed, fan when it does come on is quiet. This unit isn't Bluetooth like my other Victron products. I use this converter to charge my Bluetti AC180 which is a 1152wh lithium battery bank. I use it to extend its battery life during power outages at home by connecting the Victron converter to my 200ah or 2564wh lithium battery bank to charge the AC180. I run a refrigerator and a large upright Freezer and my 75" LG smart TV while the power is out. Works great and I get about 280 watts feeding into my AC180 Bluetti which limits its input charge to 10 amps. thru the solar charge port. Nice converter so far. The adjustable voltage dial is suppose to bust the voltage up to 30 volts but my Victron 12/20 only busts to 28.6v turned all the way up. Without the Victron Orion converter I was only getting about 100 watts of charge capacity and now I'm getting 280 watts of charging which is almost triple the amount of charging I was getting. I recommend it if your looking to increase your charge capabilities.

Works as intended
I have a camper that I wanted to power while in storage. I was carrying the lead acid battery back and forth from the house. I had a little buck converter that I had rigged to use a tool battery to work some 12 volt items. The buck converter was able to run the lights but not much else. I saw this and thought I would give it a try. It powers the stabilizer jacks and runs the slide in and out. That makes it easy to do maintenance and load and unload the camper. It also allows me to start and run the fridge the day before packing so it is cold and keep the lead acid battery at the house on a charger until I am ready to leave. I don't think I would travel with it without the camper battery. It will also run the inverter I have for small loads. The only thing I would change on it are the posts. They are a little close together and a little difficult to wire without touching the case. I am considering a second one so that running the slide is not so stressful and I can run higher loads on the inverter.

Is it more expensive that those others? Yeah, but it's worth it.
I initially bought one of the cheapo 24/12 reducers but it arrived with what looked like 12 or 14 ga wire and it just looked cheap so I returned it, bit the bullet and spent the money on Victron. Initially, I bought the 40 amp model but it came with the push on type connectors despite pictures on the page showing bolts. So I sent the 40 amp back and bought the 70 amp. The 70 amp does have the bolts for electrical connections, as pictured on the product page. It's been working great for me. I have it installed on a 24v solar system in my camper to reduce/supply the camper with 12v. The adjustment allows me to adjust the output down to 10ths of a volt. Pretty impressive. Also, I've contacted customer service twice with questions and they have responded both times and worked through my concerns with me.

Great Concept, couldn't trust it. (Used)
The first one they sent me worked but the fan was not functioning properly which led it to run noisy and hot. System function was all good but consistently running way too hot (had a temp gun on it but forget the temp, has been some time since this experience) Returned item and received an obviously used one in its place. Returned it again, received another used one, returned that one , then got one that didn't work at all. Returned that and gave up. Very obvious signs of prior use such as tool markings, missing packaging, missing pieces such as switch bridge, or bridge wire, or a lock washer. Hard to believe they would try to pass this stuff off as new.

Yes this will charge a solar power bank way quicker than your cigarette lighter plug.
I use this to bump 12 to 24v to maximize charging efficiency on my Bluetti EB3a power bank using the solar input. Just get a 7909 barrel jack pigtail with 16awg wire for the output and at least 12awg for the 12v in. and you can get the maximum charge from your car. You will need to use a direct wire, though. You'll surely burn out a cig lighter plug so don't do that. I'm assuming that a lot of folks think of doing this. Just make sure you fuse at the start of your wire coming from the source and not at the booster. Also the spade lugs are included, if you use your own, you should probably only use good quality yellow ones from the auto parts store as they are the only ones that would properly transfer the correct amount of current. Don't mess around and create a fire hazard. This booster does get warm during maximum charging from my EB3a so it will need room to breathe. Don't mess around with those no-name boosters in an aluminum heat sink brick. Its impossible to trust they will work. I tried that first and the 400w one can only manage about 35w.

Funkar perfekt, köpte först billigare varianter men som inte klarade någon nämnvärd belastning. Denna driver min CPAP maskin utan problem och säkert mer också.
