I returned the product as defective on arrival. Took it out of package and the compass immediately fell out. Hopefully that was 1 in a million right?

I bought these for my kids for a national park trip. The tools work well enough. However, the neck strap on both almost immediately fell apart. That feature was important to us so the kids wouldn't lose or forget them. They liked the different tools.

I ordered ten of these to give to my Cub Scout Den (they're "Tigers" so in first grade and therefore 6 and 7 years-old). The kids were thrilled with the gifts but on the very night I gave them to them (even before leaving the meeting), several had broken. Of the ten, at least two of them had one of the orange pieces pop right out (the hinge is weak -- open and close it one or more times and it breaks and the element falls right out -- so it's not like you can pop it back into the hinge -- it's permanently broken) as shown in the photo. On at least three of them, the cord broke within a day (also shown in the image above). On yet another one, the button for the light regularly falls off. And all of this happened within one day in the hands of 6- and 7-year-olds. They look great, they feel great, but the manufacturing quality is absolutely abominable.

Seems like it has the most accurate compass I've seen on a multifunction tool/toy - so, I'm happy about that, still need to let the kids play around a bit to test it's durability, but overall, came in good condition and works as advertised. The only negative for me is that I understood there was a little "storage compartment" of some kind and I think what is meant by that is that the magnifier and mirror store away, not that there's any actual extra storage space. But otherwise, satisfied with what I received
