I like the Model 300 Tactical headset so much I purchased a US006-1 case LTGEM for Howard Leight Impact Sport OD Electric Earmuff Case, Carrying Travel Storage Bag with Mesh Pocket for Accessories and this optional Lith-Ion rechargeable battery. Both fit perfectly. One problem: both the headphone's and the battery's manual say that an LED should blink when being charged in the Model 300 Tactical headset and become solid after fully charged. I plugged the headset into multiple USB chargers and cords, but no LED blinked. I called 3M Peltor product support. They told me to send it back and gave me a prepaid RMA. They called back shortly afterward and told me the manual was incorrect. The Model 300 does not have an LED indicator. I guess you just plug it in overnight and hope for the best. So I should not have sent it in. They are sending me a new headset (though nothing was wrong with the old one) and a credit for a new battery as they for some reason don't want to send me the battery. What a pain. Bottom line: it's a great headset and the lith-ion battery works, but has no charging indication.

I own the Peltor Tactical Sport 300 and when I started replacing the AA batteries every couple of weeks, I decided to purchase this battery. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this battery lasts longer than 2 AA batteries and not only it makes financial sense but I found myself a couple of times looking for AA batteries around the house and had to get to a store to buy more and that was getting annoying. I use them for competitions and I keep a power bank in my bag in case I need to charge my camera and I can use the same power bank to give these a quick charge if necessary. One problem I ran into is that this battery would not work because using the 2 AA batteries caused the contacts to bend and would not make contact with this battery. I used an owl tool to pry the contacts and since then, there is no problem. Note that the Peltor Tactical Sport 300 do not have a battery "charging" or "full" indicator, but using an amp meter I found that the battery fully charges within 5 hours and it stops drawing current from the charger so it is safe to plug them in and leave them plugged overnight. Overall, I think that it is a good addition to the Peltor earmuffs and if you use yours more than once a week, you will be happy you got this battery.

This is my second battery. The first one lasted me over 3 years of constant use. Get this, you won’t regret it.

Works as advertised. I’m docking one star since the included cable was USB-C, not the required micro USB.

I had an old model, that lasted for 5+ years and damaged them beyond repair.. Naturally I replaced them with the 3M because of the excellent quality.

I purchased this battery for my Peltor 500 headset given I was tired of using regular batteries. I received this battery, put it in my headset, and turned my headset on. Nothing. OK, figured then it needed to be recharged. So, I connected the charging cable to my headset and waited several hours - plenty of enough time for the battery to be charged. Put it back into my headset - nothing. I put in regular batteries just to double check the issue was not with my Headset. Regular batteries work just fine when I turned on my headset. Also, for the life of me - and watching numerous YouTube videos - can I see where the battery LED light indicator is in that it is not showing up on the headset (as advertised this headset has this LED battery light indicator). So, I have no way of knowing if the battery is actually charging, is charged or anything. In the instructors, it does NOT show where to look either. At any rate, one thing for sure is, regardless, and in double checking headset with batteries, this rechargeable battery is not working. I am trying to recharge it again just to be sure, but my gut sense is that something is amiss with the battery overall and will have to go through the pain and inconvenience of returning it, and ordering another one.

This review is for 3M ALPHA 1100 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack for 3M WorkTunes 90542 and Peltor Sport Tactical 300 and 500. I have this battery in a set of Peltor Sport Tactical 500 earmuffs. The battery lasts a long time. I couldn't tell you how many hours I am getting out of it, but I can say it is very rare that I have to charge it. Installing it was a little strange, because it went upside down of the way that it looked like it was going to fit. So, if you are running into an install issue, try rotating the battery 180 degrees. Also, I don't know if it is the battery or the headset, but no matter how long I leave it plugged in for to charge, it never shows that it is fully charged on the earmuffs. The light always indicates it is still charging, even after 24 hours of charging. Also, this battery comes with a micro-USB charging cable, all be it a pretty short one. Having this rechargeable battery in the headphones is well worth it over having to mess around with AA batteries.

bought this because it went on sale to replace the 2 battery's i was using in my work tunes before and i have to say this battery work's pretty good decent run time however when charging the only cube i had was a fast charger but it said it would work for this pack so i used it and it just kept charging but then swapped it to charging usb from my alarm clock and it said the battery was fully charged and havent had any issues so guess its fine

I bought 3m peltor sport tactical 300. Fit perfectly. I’m using them 3-4 hours in a row and never had any problem. I recharge them every time I came from shorting range.

Battery lasts 2 hours in my 3M worktunes head phones. I would need 4 batteries to get through the day. Definitely not worth it.
