Great faucet at a very affordable price.
Update 2016: Followup after two years of use: The faucet is still going strong. The only issue was that the flow rate gradually reduced over time, to about half of the original level. We tried cleaning it, adjusting the incoming flow, all sorts of things. Finally I removed the faucet head, and found the supply was just fine there. Cleaning the head didn't help at all. So I disassembled the whole head - the spray face screws out, and the buttons pop off, and then the whole assembly slides out. And I found the issue - the spring return on the cut off button on the faucet head wasn't pushing it all the way back out, so the flow was always partially cut off. But there is a shortcut to fix this problem without a full disassembly. The water shutoff button itself pops off - just pull on it firmly with your fingers. It may be a little more force than you think, but it is not threaded or anything, no turning required. Underneath, there is a little metal prong attached to a spring return cutoff valve. Fully depressed is no flow, and it should spring return to make contact with the retaining bracket for full flow. Mine was partially stuck. If it isn't all the way out, take some needle nose pliers, and gently pull on the prong until it is fully out. Your flow should be back to normal. The button pops right back on. If it recurs, you may need to fully disassemble the faucet head to replace the spring or reseat the shutoff mechanism (or pull it out and then stop using the shutoff button for a cheap fix). Hope that helps anyone else who has trouble - I couldn't find instructions on disassembling this faucet online anywhere. Original Review from 2013: This is a really nice faucet, that comes with standard modern 3/8" compression fitting to the water supply. If you are replacing an older faucet, be aware that there is a good chance this is not what you have and you will need an adapter or replacement supply cutoff valves. The faucet looks good, and the included adapter plate covers the old three holes in the sink nicely. We opted to install this with the handle at the front instead of on one side; be aware that if you want to do this, you will need to leave out one little plastic ring that is intended to lock the faucet into a position with the handle on one side or the other. Also, the label on the hose for hot and cold water may be incorrect, so check that before tightening down too far. Once installed, the faucet works great; the hose comes out smoothly, the spray pattern is forceful, and the water shutoff button on the faucet head is very convenient. Love the fact that you can adjust the termperature setting from the handle independent of cutting the water supply on and off. This isn't a downside, just a warning - the spray pattern with the height of the faucet will result in some splattering in a shallow sink. Just spray into your pan or pull the hose down before spraying if you don't want to clean up watter splatter.

Kohler K-780-2BZ Cruette Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet
This faucet was very easy to install. The hardest part of the project was getting the old Delta faucet out, due to its very poor design and engineering. The new Kohler faucet works perfectly and looks terrific. Great product, good price and we're very happy with this purchase. Update as of December 1, 2018: The inner hose that provides the water to the faucet has ruptured and flooded the entire cabinet under my kitchen sink. It has been installed less than three years. Not sue at this point if that hose can be replaced or if I must replace the entire faucet. If I replace the entire faucet, trust me it will NOT be with a Kohler product. In years past, Kohler products were top-notch, but now, being unsure where they are manufactured, their quality has obviously been compromised. I do NOT recommend buying this faucet!!!!!

Great faucet, with some nits
As others before me have noted, this is a beautiful faucet. It's also fairly easy to install and a joy to use. That said, I did note several issues when I installed it today, and since I have not seen them listed in other reviews, I thought that I would point them out here for other prospective buyers. . *** Issue 1 - No soap dispenser Home Depot sells a very similar faucet, model K-R780-VS. The product on this page is model K-780-VS (no "R"), which is the same faucet, but without the soap dispenser. This was not a big issue for me since I did not need a soap dispenser, but I will admit that I was surprised when I opened the box and saw an empty labeled spot for the dispenser. I now realize that the price of the version with the dispenser at Home Depot is not as bad as I thought originally. Of course, if you don't need a dispenser, why pay for it....but if you do, just be aware that you aren't getting one with the product on this page. . *** Issue 2 - Instructions could be better The instructions are fairly decent, but could be a bit more explicit in areas. In particular, I was a bit confused with regards to what included part was the "Escutcheon Applique Chapetón". The installation step for placing this piece around the threaded faucet shaft includes four words in English: "For Single-Hole Sinks"...and a picture that shows some round piece being placed around the threaded shaft, but zoomed out enough that it is not clear if it is the included piece with two prongs facing up and two tabs facing down...and if so, what orientation the prongs should face. I finally determined that it must be that piece and that the prongs should face up and the tabs down, but also had to cut one of the tabs off to work in that configuration due to the small size of my counter's rough-in. More explicit instructions would have made that step a bit easier. Alternatively, a labeled parts list would have been nice. . *** Issue 3 - Large washer may pose fit challenges The faucet is held to the countertop by a flange that screws up toward the countertop from below and then two upward-facing screws in that flange are tightened to apply pressure from below. It's actually a very easy mount, but you need room for the large included washer that must sit between that flange and the countertop. I did not have that room given my sink design. Half the washer sat on the underside of my sink and the other half was free floating...a good quarter-inch from the underside of my countertop. I had to create two shims to bridge that gap. Fortunately, I was able to do so, but if it is tight under your sink, you may not have room for this washer. Many other vendors have a U-shaped collar and a centrally-threaded nut, which seems to require less space underneath. . *** Issue 4 - Sprayer hose connection is not clamped Like many faucets with a sprayer, the hose for the sprayer must be attached underneath. With this model, you just push it into a receptacle and it clicks into place, supposedly securely. I've got to say that while that design makes installation fly, I vastly prefer connectors with sliding C-collars to ensure a secure connection. . *** Conclusion These nits aside, it is still a fantastic faucet. Installation was fairly fast and the result is a beautiful faucet with excellent controls, effortless pivoting side to side, and very nice water flow. Just make sure that you don't need the soap dispenser if you are about to buy the product on this page.

Beautiful faucet but needs more aerator choices. . .
Only one simple, seemingly trivial, thing is holding me back from giving this faucet 5 Stars: the aerator. For us, the water doesn't have enough air bubbles to make the normal, non-spray, flow smooth and light. The water comes out fairly strong and heavy. Some may prefer this, as you can fill a pot quickly, but it causes too much water splash beyond the sink for us. I have counter top appliances around the sink and have to wipe them up after doing even a couple of dishes. I called Kohler and they said they do not have a selection of different aerators to change the air bubbles or weight of the water flowing out from this faucet. They nicely offered to send me a low flow regulator that reduces the amount of water going into the head. The included regulator is 1.7gal per minute and the replacement is 1.5gpm. I installed it and cannot detect any changes at all. I closed the shutoff valve under the sink to allow very little water flow. This does help reduce the maximum "weight" of the water flowing from the faucet head and this reduces the splashes, but I'm feeling frustrated that such a simple part like an aerator prevents us from completely enjoying this beautiful product. Other than the aerator, the only other issue we had was the ball joint at the end of the spray hose. It leaked right after installation. Kohler sent a replacement right away and now it works very well. There are basic installation instructions on their website. It might take you a few minutes to find the right one, but definitely do some research before you start a repair. For instance, you might think replacing the hose for the head is a simple detach the joint under the sink and pull it out from top and reverse the order to install the new one. But you won't get it. The instructions tell you to pull apart the spout at the midsection in order to guide the hose end into the faucet. If I hadn't seen the instruction, I would never have found out that the spout can easily be pulled apart. Installation of the faucet was very straightforward and easy. You might want to purchase this product though: Superior Tool 03811 Eleven Inch Basin Wrench-Infinitely Adjustable 11" Spring Loaded Basin Wrench. It will make removing the old faucet and installing the new one a lot easier. Read the reviews for it and you will understand how it will make your job easier. As with most Kohler instructions, the one included in the box is very basic and not detailed enough to assure you that you're doing it correctly. For instance, the instruction says to install the escutcheon [ring] but fails to tell you how it should be properly oriented. The illustration of the ring is terrible and will not allow you to figure it out. Kohler confirmed that I guessed correctly: the rubber tabs/ring face up. As I recall there was a raised inner surface or flange on the side that slides into the base of the faucet, but you could also (incorrectly) guess that the flange centers the faucet in the hole on the sink as well. It really is a very nice product that is solidly built and smooth to operate. You can pull the head down slightly away from the faucet and point the head in any direction. It will stay there without straightening out. This is a nice feature. (My wife actually leaves the head hanging from the spout which moves it further down into the sink to reduce splashing.) The faucet spout and handle have smooth and light pivots. Easily can be done with the back of a hand, if your hands were unclean. The fan sprayer makes me feel like I have been living in the dark ages before this faucet. It's so easy to "scrape" your plates clean with it. Makes washing dishes a lot nicer. I like that the spray hose is long enough for me to reach the espresso machine sitting next to the sink. I use it to spray off coffee grinds after making a batch of lattes. Since I need the hose to reach out to about 20-24 inches, the weight is sitting only about 10 inches below the sink. This means that I have to push the hose back into the spout. No problem as the hose is very light and the magnet grabs it well. This really is an excellent product and I really wish Kohler develops different aerators for their beautiful, functional, and solidly built faucets.

You won't be disappointed! Great quality and sharp look
Love, love, love! This is by far the best faucet I have owned. So easy to install, I did it alone as the instructions are crystal clear. I was installing on a new sink though, so having it on the floor made access a breeze. I love that the nozzle has a magnet in it so the pull it sprayer clicks into place. It is sleek, easy to clean and love the wide spray pattern. No problems with the buttons, no leaks, and the price could not be beat, and believe me, I researched! High quality and have used it daily for months with no issues. Update: after daily use for 2 months it still looks new. It is so easy to clean--all you do is wipe off any splatter. I did note though that there has to be room under the sink for the hose and weight to be able to move..otherwise the weight won't pull the hose to fully retract. I had a vase stored directly under the hose and the weight had caught on it and I couldn't understand why the sprayer wasn't retracting..until I looked under the sink and saw it snagged on the vase. So don't push stuff right up against the back of your cabinet!

Good faucet at a good price but instructions are lacking
This faucet looks nice and functions fine. Assuming you put the weight in the correct place it self retracts very well. I have two complaints: first, the aerated water stream is not a consistent, steady stream, so it splashes a bit more than it should. Second, the instructions for installing the faucet are beyond horrible. The company does have a video showing how to install it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C88zdehWavY but that video does not show the escutcheon, which is a little gray plastic circle that fits between the top part of the base plate of the faucet (used with three-hole installation) and the bottom of the faucet. There is a clear silicone o-ring that is between the two pieces of the three-hole base plate. When that is properly seated the escutcheon's tabs will fit into the o-ring's slots (also slots in the top base plate). A couple other notes: the system to mount the faucet to the sink or counter is very nice -- it is very secure and easy to do and only requires a screwdriver. I hate collets (this uses one to connect the mixed hot/cold water to the sprayer hose).

Yes, I Wrote A Lot...
I shopped on Amazon for hours and finally settled on this one. Price was within a twenty dollar range of all the others I was looking at, and this one had the features I was looking for. First, it was stainless steel. Since my sink is that, this was the finish I wanted. Next, there was hose length. I wanted one that would pull out farther than the standard 29" most of them have. The Kohlers and Pfisters seem to be among the few that have longer hoses. This one was three feet long; and, with the hose weight attached at the lowest point and still be effective at helping the hose retract, the pull-out extends 27" from the end of the faucet. Third, I wanted one that would retract easily and completely. Using BOTH a hose-weight attachment and a magnet at the end of the faucet, this Kohler retracts smoothly and - usually completely. I may have to adjust the weight up another inch on the hose line to make it retract completely ALL the time. Also, it doesn't "snap" back fast enough from full (27") extension for my tastes, so I'm getting a Moen 125989 Hose Weight (they're generic fittings) for less than twelve bucks here on Amazon to add extra weight to the line: that should make it "snap" back in quite effectively. Be careful when letting it retract back to the faucet on its own: doing that just after use...well...there's some residual water left in the head and you'll get a little "sprinkling" from it, heh-heh. That's a hazard all pull-outs have though. The last feature I wanted was the controls. From what I've seen in my shopping, only the Kohlers and Pfisters (and not all of them) have the "blade" spray function. That feature is awesome with the scouring pressure it has, waayyyyy better than the normal sink sprayer so many others use. The "three-function" nozzle - blade, stream, and pause - was a must for this much money as far as I'm concerned. If a faucet doesn't say "three-function" it doesn't have that important "pause" feature on the nozzle. An extra I liked, but not limited to anything other than most pull-out models, is the ability to install the faucet with the control handle facing in any direction I prefer. I mounted mine with the control facing in towards the sinks. This just makes it soooo much easier to turn on/off/change temperature without splashing water from my hands all around: a plus for a kitchen faucet. The unit is a heavy, solid, piece with what looks to be VERY solid construction. Installation is super easy: the hardest part was taking out my old one. The hot and cold water lines use 1/2" connectors. So if - as my house water lines are - you have 3/4" connections, make sure you have a pair of the 3/4" - 1/2" connection adapters (male to male in my line's case). You can find them at any decent hardware store or big-box home improvement store: very inexpensive (less than $8 for the pair). However, you might not even need them as your current faucet might've already been using them: since most faucets are 1/2" lines anyway. Just check though. Overall, the faucet is a well-constructed, fine-looking, piece with all the functions I wanted and in the price range I was hunting in. Kohler has a limited lifetime warranty for as long as you're in the house, so save your receipt and instruction/warranty sheet. The warranty covers any drips/leaks that develop from what I read. I'm very happy I took my time to shop this item and read the countless reviews and questions answered from purchasers. That way I got all the features I was hunting for and wasn't surprised by anything when it arrived.

I have had to replace the pull out hose 5 time since my original purchase in 2014
This review has been 7 years in the making. First let me say that Kohler customer service has always been fantastic and due to the products lifetime warranty Kohler has provided me with 4 or 5 replacement hoses, and even a replacement faucet. But this product has a fatal defect - and unless you are handy (which fortunately I am) or willing to pay a plumber $200 a crack to fix it you're in for a bumpy ride. The hose on the pull out nozzle springs pin hole leaks near the spray bell every 12 or 18 months or so. It always happens near the bell where the flex is greatest So every time I call Kohler and customer service sends out a replacement hose. I'm in their computer and they pop out a replacement hose every time I call. One time they even sent me a replacement faucet - a completely new unit. I installed it and sure enough after about 12 months the pin hole leaks appeared. Kohler sent me a replacement hose without question. The problem is that the inner hose on the pullout assembly is made of (ARE YOU READY FOR THIS) corrugated PLASTIC - no kidding. I've included a photo - I cut the old defective hose to show the inner construction. No wonder the hose develops pin hole leaks after a year or so of use - and always within 3 or 4 inches of the nozzle. If I were going to design a hose to fail I would use plastic - just like Kohler. Well I've just finished replacing my faucet hose (for the 5 or 6th time - I really can't remember because I've done it so many times in the last seven years) - and the clock is ticking town for its next failure. I only hope it happens after Christmas 2022. Other than that its a nice faucet P.S. My wife says this is the last time we are doing this.
