A King with some flaws but still a king
This Big boy can easily be considered a King of the gaming laptop world. It's large 17" screen, hefty build structure, solid presence and powerful capability is what i wanted from an expensive gaming laptop and it delivers in those criteria s I got the NVIDIA 3070ti version with 16GB RAM which is plenty of power for modern day gaming. It's built like a tank so if you are looking for thin and easy this might not be it but if you want a proper and big screen to game and what not this is it

Great for gaming
I’ve had this laptop for about 3 months now. I game on it pretty regularly. Always get high frame rates on high settings. So no complaint there. Yes it gets really hot while gaming around 82 degrees Celsius for the gpu. What I like about it is it pretty much stops using cpu and only uses the gpu while gaming. The charger does get hot but I have no need to touch it unless I’m just moving it around to get it out of the way. I’ve always wanted and Alienware and I’m 100% happy with what I bought and wouldn’t trade it for anything

A Rollercoaster Experience with Dell Alienware laptop
I purchased this laptop on June 23, 2023, and my experience has been quite the journey. While it initially showed promise, I've encountered some significant drawbacks that are hard to ignore. Pros: Impressive Specs: The laptop boasts impressive specifications, offering a good balance of processing power and storage capacity. Sleek Design: The aesthetic appeal of the laptop is undeniable. It's sleek, modern, and definitely catches the eye. Cons: Quirky Performance: From the start, the laptop exhibited some quirky behaviors. There were occasional glitches, freezes, and software hiccups that, while not deal-breakers, were certainly frustrating. Motherboard Failure: Unfortunately, the most significant issue emerged recently with a complete motherboard failure. This unexpected malfunction has left me without a functional laptop, which is especially disheartening considering I've only had it for a relatively short time. Conclusion: In summary, the Dell Alienware is a mixed bag. Its performance quirks may be manageable for some users, but a complete motherboard failure within such a short time frame is disconcerting. I appreciate the aesthetic and the initial promise, but the overall reliability has left much to be desired. My hope is that the company takes steps to improve the quality control of their products to provide a more satisfying experience for customers in the future.

UPDATE: So after a little over two days after I left previous review, when I sat down to use it, it would not turn on! It had been in sleep mode for a few hours and I noticed the laptop was still very hot. I did some online research and found that overheating has been an issue with these laptops. I fiddled around some more and was able to get the machine to fire up again. From that point on, I’ve been very careful; limiting my gaming time, turning off the laptop everyday, and checking the CPU temp on the Alienware app. Since the machine was a brand new model, most of the online tips for heat management didn’t apply. The best solution I found was a separate laptop cooling pad. This seemed to cool down the machine and assist with heat management. Then After a week of use, I noticed that the power button was flashing red. It was flashing in code; three red flashes followed by a blue flash. The machine was functioning normal otherwise. I did some research but then decided to call Alienware customer support. My experience with customer support was excellent! I was able to concisely describe the problem and the representative was able to fix the problem fairly quickly. They then followed up with an email for any further support. Very impressed. I decided to take a star away due to the machines poor heat management but I want to leave it at four stars on account of the exceptional customer service. Still recommend! (Previous review) I’ve been a PC gamer for many years and I’ve built my own desktop PC in the past. I also currently own a desktop PC that has a GPU a little more powerful than the one in this laptop. This is the first Alienware laptop that I’ve owned since I opt for putting my money into choosing all my own parts over name recognition (Alienware usually doesn’t let you choose lesser components like the motherboard, PSU, etc, only CPU/GPU). With this experience in mind, here are my pros and cons for this gaming laptop: Pros: - Overall a powerful machine! The first thing I did when I received it was measure performance on benchmarking software and it scored high. I was expecting a much more noticeable drop in power from my desktop, which (so far) didn’t occur. - I have downloaded about six games so far, all of which have been released in the past two years or so, and are GPU intensive. All the games have been running well over 60fps, Ultra settings, at 1080p. - The overall aesthetic design of the laptop is very appealing. This is where Alienware knocks it out of the park; sleek design, neat lighting on the shell, and a backlight keyboard, all of which works right out of the box (see pics). - Comes with Windows 11 installed and it has been a smooth experience, at least for me, running the laptop with this OS. Cons: - The fans are pretty loud. After about 45 minutes of gaming, they got louder and detracted a bit from the immersion. - Expensive. The price for this laptop is comparable to what I paid for my more powerful non-Alienware desktop PC. I decided not to take away a star for those cons since most laptops have similar fan issues and the expense factor has nothing to do with the product itself (this is Alienware after all). Based upon my experience with this machine so far, I can safely say that this is a quality, high-end product, with the price to match. I don’t mean that in a bad way. If you are in the market for a high-end gaming laptop, and can afford it, than this Alienware product is for you. Recommended! NOTE: I will update the review as I get more time with the machine.

DON'T BUY - no audio
*UPDATE: The computer now won't even start. Just sent it back to Dell to have it repaired. There is 0 chance I'll get my money back. Under the warranty they will just keep "repairing" it, but I have no hopes that it ever will work properly. I'll update if it starts to work or Dell decides to allow me to return it so I can buy a proper machine. _ This laptop works pretty well if you need to do relatively robust video processing. I say relatively. That said, I was on a Zoom meeting and it crashed, so there's that. The battery life isn't great, either. But I bought it to travel with and do video editing. The main problem is that the audio just does not work properly. I've never experienced anything like this. It sounds like the audio is being processed through the blades of a helicopter. Until recently, this has only been a problem on the speakers of the laptop. Now, it happens with headphones, too (though in this case the audio just doesn't come out). Who needs audio anyway? If you're deaf, this is a pretty good laptop (in all seriousness). If you want to hear things coming out of the computer, get a different device and save yourself getting bent over the barrel for it.

Excellent performance!
Great product that you have to understand how to update before its use. After all your system has been updated, then you can enjoy it. The only thing that that I don’t like it’s the battery life. As for the rest it’s an excellent product.

Finally got a good gaming laptop
I have been looking for an excellent gaming laptop that can handle my games without lag or crashing. I have been running a productivity laptop for years, so it was nice to see a computer run my games with little difficulty.

Fantastic Laptop
I have been using this laptop daily since purchasing it, and I love it. So far no issues, and runs games flawlessly.
