Crimped, soldered or something else?** A: Hi, they're soldered, the ends are connected to banana plug and heat shrink wrapped to ensure strengthen the connection **Q: Are the ends soldered?** A: I can't be 100% sure since the bananas have heatshrink on them. I cant see any dimples were a set screw would be so my guess is they are soldered - it's also too smooth to be crimped. These are clearly not Audioquest or Kimber but they are pretty nice $25 cables. **Q: Is this wire outdoor rated?** A: not outdoor rated **Q: Do you recommend adding a ferrite cord shield to your cable? If so, what is the outside diameter of the cable?
