I ignored them. I should not have ignored them. This morning I ran Mount Mitchell and was pretty disappointed by how slippery these were on wet rock. I went down once, but had to catch myself several more times.I find these comfortable enough, not overwhelmingly so. I tried it as a trail running shoe and when that didn't work I used it for some light hiking. Had the same issue both times. Last thing I did was to change to regular laces.
