Wondercide Dog Collar - Flea, Tick, and Mosquito Repellent for Dogs - with Natural Essential Oils - Up to 4 Months Protection - Small Medium

My household is the biggest fan of Wondercide! We use several products, such as the yard spray, the pet and home spray, the allergy spray ... I thought it would be a good idea to try the collars. We began our season with a sudden early flea infestation. I treated the yard (twice in a week), home and the 4 dogs and two cats. I noticed 99% flea and mosquitoe reduction (we've never had ticks here *knock on wood*). Later today, I will spray everything down again. At first, I actually found fleas under these collars on the dogs. I almost removed them and threw them away but I remembered I had read they are to MAINTAIN, not stop an infestation. Now that I've got it under control, the only place I find anything is by their tails. If I find one, I spray. I've also noticed that I NEVER see mosquitoes near them anymore. That alone makes the collars worth it. Do I know for sure they work? No. I don't think they would be effective as a standalone product but combined with the spray it's an added layer of protection. SIZE NOTE: I have 4 dogs. One 110#, two are 85# each, and one is 9#. I bought all four the same size collar. I had to cut two of them just a little (necks 16" and 18"), one was the perfect size with the recommended 2" overlap (his neck is 19") and the little guy's was cut nearly in half. The Large collars don't have a bundle option but the SM/MED will fit the average large dog. My 3 big boys are American Pit Bull mix, American Bully XL, and GSD/Great Pyrenees mix. Measure their necks first, but chances are you can save some $$ and grab this bundle. It works out to "buy two, get one 50% off". They're supposed to last about 4 months, we'll see! Will buy again, 100%.

I love the Wondercide Sprays and have used for over 4 years. I thought I would be on top of things and get this for my dog. This product did not work at all. It had a mild to moderate peppermint smell which I do not mind. The good smell is where it ended. I used a flea comb and thinking this actually provided some level of coverage I backed off on the daily spray or multiple time a day spray. I was so wrong to not use the spray. My dog had several, and I mean several fleas on her that I located and removed with a flea comb. One flea was actually by the collar, alive and thriving. This was the biggest waste of money and time for a purchase this year. It has caused me so much extra work to clear of fleas and I wish I had not trusted it to work. I cannot imagine selling this product and sleeping at night knowing I am just taking someone’s money who trusted me. I have used the shampoo which is great and the spray but this collar was just throwing $19.99 + tax in the garbage. Please, save your money and time and do not waste it on this. I have a female Rottweiler who weighs 94lbs. This product, a complete waste as an add-on to our regime and definitely not a replacement for the spray.

I like the fresh peppermint smell and the adjustable color to fit both of my pups necks. Seems to help keep the ticks away and the dogs don’t mind wearing them. They are durable and long lasting.

All natural, smells great, easy to use. I don't worry about these collars for my dogs, since they contain all natural ingredients. Wondercide is a trusted brand for flea & tick control. I wish the scent lasted longer. We live in the city and my dogs only go out hiking 1x a week. They are a short haired breed and don't go in the brush much or are ever off leash. Still, I use this in addition to a natural flea & tick spray plus regular monthly pill deworming. CONS: Loses pungency quick - I usually keep the collar wide enough that I can still slip it off the head when we come home. I store the collars in a ziploc bag and only pull them out before we go hiking. In the summer, we change them up monthly. I would definitely recommend using this in conjunction with other fleak & tick products.

Okay first off i love the spray so i wanted to try the collars along with the spray as extra protection. Secondly if people would read how to use these collars correctly they would work this is not a put it on your dog that ALREADY has fleas and them fall off you have to get rid of the fleas first and then use these collars as a protectant from them coming back and those other pictures of the little thin peice that falls off…. Well you’re supposed to pull that off anyways the collar isn’t falling apart. you people are giving this item a bad review because you don’t know how to read apparently and that’s not the products fault😂. I use these mainly for mosquitos in the rainy seasons and you have to replace them once a month like it says to but to protect my dogs i don’t mind doing it at all.

*** Update to my review BEFORE buying the collar, read the note in the description. I live in the country, I go hiking and foraging in the woods. I can not control what's in the woods, but I can what's on my property. I will give it thought to try the yard stuff for my property. If the Flea & Tick Collar isn’t repelling all the fleas or ticks, you may be in an area with high pest pressure. In these cases, Flea & Tick Pets + Home is a great added layer of protection that will do the trick. Wondercide Collar repels but doesn’t kill fleas or ticks. If you have an active flea infestation, start with a flea & Tick bath to kill the pests that are already present. Consider layering protection with Wondercide Flea & Tick Pets + Home and Flea & Tick Yard + Garden (if you have a yard) as directed. The Collar can be used on your pet while you get an infestation under control and for ongoing repellency. I'm trying to be more natural for my dogs. I've used the pills from the vet, topical, so on. I have a older bernese who had a severe reaction to those. Bumps, swollen in places, he had such a bad reaction on his face and almost scratched a hole in his cheek due to that stuff. So I'm trying to be more natural with my newest puppy. This collar doesn't fully work, not as effective. I am pulling ticks off my dog left and right.

I have three dogs and two cats. The first time I tried these collars I thought maybe I did something wrong lost track of time but they advertise good for four months so I decided to try them on my dogs. Same story at least once every couple days I can pull a tick off my animals doesn’t seem to be stopping them at all now I won’t say the same about the spot on treatment or the spray treatments but this collar this is a joke and I’m now out 90 bucks on two cats and three dogs because I didn’t quickly enough go to do the return. I thought maybe there would be an accumulative effect after wearing it for a while but this morning between five animals so I’ve pulled out three ticks . really annoying won’t ever buy again really lost a bit of faith in wondercide of whom I’m quite a fan. Actually, I love the idea of all the natural stuff, but these collars are a joke.

I WAS VERY EXCITED TO TRY THIS COLLAR, AS MY DOG HAS SEIZURES WITH MOST STANDARD FLEA AND TICK TREATMENTS. UPON OPENING THE PACKAGE, I WAS HIT WITH THE STRONG PEPPERMINT SMELL. I PLACED IT ON MY PUP, AS DIRECTED ON PACKAGE. IT SEEMED A NICE SMELL, BUT WITHIN 5 MINUTES I WAS COUGHING AND CLEARING MY THROAT AND WITHIN 10 MINUTES I HAD TO USE MY INHALER; I WAS HAVING AN ASTHMA ATTACK. AND THEN MY DOG STARTED COUGHING. AND SCRATCHING HIS NECK. SO I REMOVED THE COLLAR AND SET IT ON A SHELF; HOPEFULLY SOME OF THE SMELL WILL DISSIPATE. I HOPE TO TRY IT AFTER A FEW HOURS IN THE OPEN AIR.
