Well Made Ridgid quality!
Well-made Ridgid quality! I like that the check collar stays open when you remove a bit so all you have to do is push the new bit (don't have to pull the collar out every time).

Better price than HD with less packaging
So it is worth noting that the “lifetime warranty” isn’t offered. I don’t buy these for the warranty. I could care less, so at 3/5 of the price, I’ll take it. If you have the older version with the speed switch on the top, this is an improvement. The brushless motor seems to be faster and more powerful (the second speed is about how fast the 3 was on my old one). Also helps to have a double but holder (although that’s on the side now and a little clunky). Weight is close to the older ones and I didn’t notice any other changes. Good tool. I hope it lasts me another 7+ years.

Not what I expected
Honestly this whole deal was annoying. I got sent a beat up impact the first time. The trigger was ripped off and the the impact itself looks like it had been through around. The aesthetic damage wasn't too bad. Its just annoying. When you order something new you expect something new. The second one is better but it doesn't have the same power my old ridgid had. Just disappointed all around. Oh and last thing, you better not expect the metal clip to come with it. you have to buy it separately. Not a big deal just really annoying because its in the picture so I assumed it would come attached.... like it shows in the pictures.
