Upgraded my head unit in my old Silverado and used this patch cable to ease installation. Wiring code on the package matches to your head units wiring just match the speaker wires power wire etc and no cutting wires! I soldered my connections coupled with heat shrink tubing so I should never have an issue with a bad connection. Make it up on the bench then it is ready to plug into your factory harness and the head unit.

This what you need to make your speakers work if you are adding an aftermarket radio. This made hooking up a new radio to my 2001 Suburban a breeze. The 2nd harness with the single pink wire is what’s needed to power the amp that’s wired to your speakers. In my case I attached the pink harness wire to the blue power antenna wire coming from the aftermarket radio. And boom! Sound all around!

I have to thank the person that mentioned connecting the extra single red wire on the second harness to the blue power antenna wire. I had no sound until I did that. Directions were clear, but that extra wire wasn’t labeled. Worked perfect!
