It shades eyes from the bright sun and is not hot on head to wear all day. It takes on the visor shape and form fits to your head. Review: EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! - I paddle everyday and had been looking for something to give my face additional protection from the morning sun. All Hats were too hot and I had to wear a pony tail, which gave me a headache. Because I have longer, thick hair, I wear it in a bun and that didn't work with a hat. So I searched for a visor which would allow my head to breath and still wear a bun. But I needed it to be waterproof, tight enough to stay in place when I'm going fast or when it's windy. I found several options, but none until I came across the Toyoil neoprene sun visor. It arrived right on time and it fit great. (Most hats always seem tight on my head and if I adjust it to make it tolerable, it slides forward.) I took it for a 7 mile paddle with 13 MPH gusts and it never moved!! It was AWESOME! Lightweight, kept it shape when I was going against the wind and even absorbed some of the sweat! I was still able to wear my sunglasses and headphones without any issues. I've included a photo of the Toyoil neoprene sun visor after I finished paddling so you can see how well it collects the sweat! I hand washed it and hung it to dry and it was good as new. I will definitely grab a few more to keep in the cars and my purse! Pros: Comfortable, lightweight, waterproof, stays in place, washes up great and easy to store! Cons: Would like the brim to be a little wider and more colors (neon yellow or green) Review: It just wasn't for me - My teen son love it, but it just wan't for me as an older female. I wanted something to protect my face while attending sporting events and I just didn't feel this was study enough for my needs.
