I am truly, madly, in love with The Woobles! As a true beginner (and a lefty 😬), I was nervous to purchase this after a few frustrating experiences with off-brand kits that left me tangled and confused. I was wrong! Woobles made it so easy. Their instructions are crystal clear, and they even include a left-handed version with videos!!!!!— total game-changer. I was actually able to follow along and finish my first project without tears or YouTube rabbit holes (except when I decided I wanted to master the magic loop but that’s a whole different story). The yarn is soft, high quality, and pre-started so you can jump right in. If you’re new to crochet, skip the cheap alternatives — they don’t come close. This kit is worth every penny for the frustration it saves. I spent several hours on a different kit and never accomplished anything, where this one had me crocheting like a pro (pro-newbie) in no time. I learned to crochet in October 2022. I learned the single stitch and started to create a basket and then a scarf. I had not done amigurumi's yet and also did not know how to read a pattern. This kit is great for beginners because Justine is amazing with her tutorials and she will literally go step by step with a tutorial to teach you how to do the stitches and how to read a pattern. I know people that can crochet but don't know how to read a pattern. I have recommended the woobles to them and even as experienced crocheters, they bought the kits and found them fun and really helpful. I bought this one first on Amazon and I've purchased the rest on the actual woobles website. They do have coupons from time to time, they also have limited edition kits which you can sign up for their text alerts to be notified of pre-sales. I have purchased at least five more kits since purchasing this one. This was the first one I did and this is the most basic one that the woobles has so it will teach you everything step by step. When you get to beginner plus, it may not give you everything step by step but you can still look up the videos on the Woobles website for a refresher. So what are you paying for with this price? You were paying for pretty much a teacher. You are paying for yarn that will not easily split or fray which is really helpful for beginners or just people frustrated with splitting or fraying yarn. Most kits come with a crochet hook. You can also purchase them on their website without a hook sometimes. You're paying for the entire package which includes a lesson on how to create the cute little character that you have purchased, the means to make the character and the confidence that you will now have after learning to create this cute little creature. Is it a bit on the expensive side? Yes at first glance, but when you think about how much you get out of it, the price fits the package. If you have been thinking about buying the woobles products, I highly recommend them. Any of them! They are so fun and you feel really good after creating one of these little creatures that maybe you thought you couldn't do before. And you have access to that pattern and the videos on the website forever. You can also use the patterns after you learn, to use different yarn and maybe make a bigger character. You use the same pattern, you just use a bigger yarn so while you may not have enough yarn to make two little friends, you could either buy more yarn on Amazon or buy a different yarn that you like and make more!

I bought this kit for my 10-year-old daughter’s birthday because she wanted to learn how to crochet but had no prior experience. The kit is perfect for beginners and includes everything you need to get started. It’s a bit pricey, but the convenience makes it worth it. It comes with a barcode you can scan for step-by-step video instructions, which are clear and easy to follow. There are also several “I need help” options in the videos that link to additional troubleshooting clips. One important tip: Do not take the yarn apart when you open it! My daughter did, and she lost the starter section (the “magic ring”), which made it harder to begin. Not a big deal if you already know how to crochet, but it caused some backtracking for us as beginners. I wish they had a "do not take apart" sticker on the item so that other eager 10-year olds do not make the same mistake. Just scan the code and watch the video instructions before you do anything. The yarn is thick enough to handle easily, making it ideal for little hands learning the stitches. The finished crochet animals are very cute but small. Just the right size for a beginner.

Perfect for beginners! The kit contents worked great and was the steps were easy to follow. The yarn was super thick and made it a great overall size at the end so it’s pretty durable.

Update: Before you ruin your wooble yarn like I did, go to other videos. Some have better angles. For example you may be able to see the basic stitch they teach in video 2 better in video 4 or 5. cute but videos aren't as helpful as I first thought. completely lefty newbie. I can't even get the first stitch. I've watched the videos probably 50 times but I can't see how they are pulling the needle. the super short videos that don't auto play only add to the frustration. every time i have to click next or replay I'm starting over and back to fighting with the yarn to stay on my finger and the needle. i've tried so many times the yarn is starting to fray and I've probably already ruined a very pricey item. If you are coordinated and know how to crochet, these are probably great. If you are neither, they are extremely frustrating.

Woobles kits were recommended to me as a way to learn to crochet. I’m new and had no trouble making this kit. The step by step videos are a huge help. There is a written pattern available as well.

I bought this crochet kit because of all the good reviews. Turns out, it is just overpriced t-shirt yarn. Amigurumi is not made with t-shirt yarn. The video is too long. There is no printed instruction booklet either.
