Good coffee, not bitter
Pretty good coffee! I’m a huge fan of Starbucks and love their medium blends which I find robust and flavorful. This medium coffee is not as robust in flavor as Starbucks BUT it is very good in taste (not bitter), especially for the price. I would purchase again from this brand but maybe try other flavors.

Every woman needs this.
“These are the best gloves ever. I was looking for a material that is soft and easy to slip in and out of, and these are perfect. They feel almost like working with bare hands while still protecting my hands from chemicals during cleaning. I absolutely love them. The delivery was quick and the cost was worth it. My only suggestion is that they are a bit short—I would have preferred them to extend about 2–3 inches over my wrists.

Not for me
The coffee was strong, which is fine, but it was also bitter.

Inconsistent quality in Summer 2025
We've been buying this for a few years now and thought it was a great value. But last month, we had quite a few pods that I'm guessing were underfilled? Several very weak cups, thought it was the machine at first, but only happening 1 out of 10 times. Was willing to overlook that, but as soon as we got our most recent batch, my partner claimed the taste was off by a lot. I'm not too picky, and could tell they weren't as good as usual, but not a big deal for me. She went and bought some name brand cups at the store, but I kept drinking the Mauds. A couple of days later, I brewed a cup with a sharp, almost chemical flavor. Drank about half of it and started to feel nauseous. Hopefully it was just mold and not straight up poison. Threw the other 90 or so cups in the trash. I'm currently trying to decide whether to give them another chance or cancel my subscription. We were satisfied for years, but not sure I want to keep playing "hope I don't get sick this time."

Pods do not puncture properly causing the mess people speak of. Read on for solution
The Kona blend is decent. It is good but in my opinion, is NOT great and the hassle makes it even less great. The problem with this particular Maude branded Kona coffee that many reviewers have complained about is not the flavor of the coffee but the way it brews. There are grounds in their coffee, "explosions" and leaky/messy coffee discharge. However you label it, here is the problem: It happens on 2 different machines that I use and both are HIGH(ER) END, B-150 and the K-3500 direct plumbed machines. But, based on reviews, I suspect it happens in other machines as well. What happens is when you place a pod into the machine and close the lid, the machine is supposed to "punch" a hole in both the top AND the bottom of the K-cup pod. The top is a thin foil like material and is fine, the problem is on the bottom of the Maude pod (LOL) where they have a seemingly thicker more "flexible" plastic than most other pods and the "puncture needle" does NOT puncture the bottom of the pod like it should, it just dents it, therefore forcing the coffee, water and grounds to all come out through the top foil part, making the BIG UGLY MESS that people complain about. There are 3 possible fixes: 1) Use different K-cup pods that do not have this problem which is just about ANY other ones. Read reviews to find out. If it does it, people will be saying it. 2) Fix the Maude pods: How: Before closing the "hatch" on the coffee machine, take precise note of how the pod is oriented (i.e. lettering facing up (exactly 12:00) because you will have to put it back in the same position. Now: while the pod you wish to use is sitting in the tray, before you close the lid, manually push the Maude pod down into place very firmly to force puncture a hole in the bottom, then lift it and move it a hair left and press it down again, then move it a hair right and do it again. Do not worry about punching a hole in the top, the machine handles this part fine and will do it when you close the lid. After force pressing the pod a couple of times, remove pod (noting its position in the cradle and make sure there IS an actual hole (barely smaller than a ball point pen) in the pod. If so, it will now work perfectly. If not, you can use an ice pick, awl, steak knife, fork or whatever to poke a hole, just make sure it lines up with where the machine (normally) does the hole punching for you because that is were the coffee exits the pod. NOTE *** It may not matter whether or not your newly created hole lines up with the machine's "poking mechanism", I don't know for sure. I make sure it lines up but you may be able to just poke a hole and put it in any old way, I'm not certain on this. I just line it up and call it good. 3) Go to Starbucks or dig up your Mr. Coffee Machine.

Coffee is very nice tasting.

A great purchase for Hawaiian coffee. Not quite the same as lion or Kona Royal cups but it’s reasonably close and enjoyable and at a cost that won’t break the bank.

Mauds Kona is very smooth and has an almost sweet taste. I don’t use sugar in my coffee but this coffee is great tasting. No acidity or aftertaste.
