Great set of pool stairs and hack to weigh front down
We got these steps last year to replace a vertical ladder that broke. I get painful foot cramps that many times brought on by the pressure the rungs of a traditional ladder on the soles of my feet. These steps solved that problem so i would recommend them for anyone who has similar foot or other issues like back problems using a deck ladder. Before i put the stairs in for a second year i wanted to fix the issue some other customers reported where do to buoyancy the front part of the stairs tend to lift up a couple of inches. I the solution that i used was inexpensive, unobtrusive, easy to install and has solved the problem. I used a precut two foot 4inch in diameter PVC pipe, two end caps, 36 inch zip ties and bag of cement. I used pvc glue to affix one end cap and filled cement and glued other end cap and let it set over night. Then turn over the stairs over so the bottom step was faceup on the deck. Drill 4 holes into the riser of the bottom stairs as shown. Measure or simply use the PVC pipe as a guide drill 4 companion holes above the pipe insert the tails of the zip on the bottom hole and back up and out throught the top hole so you can get better leverage to pull the zip tie tight towards you. The 4 zips seem to have done their job and hold the weight securely in place. The zips being on the front bottom riser rather than the blue stair are barely noticeable and the weight is doing its job as the stairs now rest flatly on the pool liner. Otherwise these the family love the stairs, they are sturdy enough to sit on and makes getting in and out of the pool a breeze.

Sturdy and safe! So much better than the standard Intex pool ladder!
The ladder arrived in two boxes, but one of them was missing the 4th blue step piece. I contacted the seller, and they responded right away—sending out the missing part the very next day. Their customer service was exceptional and friendly! We received the piece a couple of days later and were able to assemble everything without any issues. The ladder itself is very well-made and sturdy. We added 40 lbs of play sand for stability and chose to place the larger steps outside the pool. It’s definitely worth the price! We feel so much safer getting in and out of the pool now—the Intex ladder that came with our pool was tiny and honestly pretty scary to use. This is a huge improvement!

Very happy with these stairs!
My whole extended family loves our pool and some of us are getting a little bit older so we’ve been thinking of adding stairs for a long time. This year one of my sisters had shoulder surgery and literally could no longer use the ladder. So it was time to finally get the stairs. I read loads of reviews and decided on these. Although I have to say I was expecting them to be flimsy because of the super affordable price. I was pleasantly surprised by their sturdiness. First let me say that the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is about the issue of weighing them down. To be honest we didn’t even try to fill them with sand because of other reviews that were unhappy with sand sifting into the pool. We opted for weighted bags ( purchased on Amazon very economically) filled with sand. We first put trash bags into the pool bags then filled those with sand and tied them off to keep the sand from sifting out. We used zip ties to secure the bags to the stairs. It took 4 bags with a total of approximately 100 lb. of sand to securely hold them down. We put a pool mat ( also purchased on Amazon) under the stairs to protect the liner. Now having said all this, I feel like these stairs are an amazing value. They are very easy to assemble and are super sturdy. I would advise having a partner to help with assembly to hold and support, and to place the completed stairs into the pool. The handrails aren’t meant to be pulled on but rather just to steady you as you walk up & down. Also we added screws where the two parts of the handrails come together and that helped make them feel much more secure. This wasn’t part of the assembly instructions but it made sense to us. Another concern I had was that they would take up a lot of space in the pool. They really don’t. They have a narrow profile form the wall but at the same time offer generous stair treads that are very comfortable to walk up & down. Probably most decks are wood or composite. Our is steel (a Kayak) so we did have to buy a titanium drill bit. We used 2 screws on each brace and they are very secure. So far they’ve only been in the pool for a few weeks so I can’t comment on long term durability but so far we couldn’t be happier with them. I would have expected them to cost much more than they do. I wish I’d found them years ago. We feel like adding the stairs has made the pool more accessible and much more enjoyable for everyone. If you’ve been considering adding stairs to your pool I would recommend these without hesitation.

A real improvement over pool ladders!
We've had our above ground pool for 4 years and have used the ladder that came with it and a $250. ladder we later purchased. Both felt felt un-steady to us. So, we bought this $1,200. stair system and we are glad we did! It came in 4 boxes over 5 days time. Nothing was missing, well packed. A bit time consuming to put together but then again, we are a couple in our mid-seventies. Some instruction pictures were a little hard to see and the videos suggested didn't match exactly. But we figured it out without too much stress. (Taking a occasional break helped!) We followed the directions completely including the adding of sand, which we weighed to be sure we had the correct amount. When using a power drill to insert the screws, be careful not to go too deep - slow and steady will pay off. We did ask a couple of young neighbors to set it in the water for us. Make no mistake, this is not fine furniture. It is molded plastic. But that said, it looks right at home with our pool. Once together, it is sturdy and feels so much safer than our previous ladders. There is no movement either in the water or on the concrete. The steps flex a bit but not enought to cause concern. The hand rails are steady with very little play. The steps are steep but an appropriate balance of space and usefulness. The gate works fine with very little sag. All in all, and considering the $250. ladder we used for 2 seasons, this system is well worth the cost.

Easy to put together. Much better than a ladder.

These pool stairs are great! They are a bit wider than others we’ve had and have good grip. Good for all ages and can accommodate those with mobility challenges as well. We chose not to fill the stairs fully with sand. Disclaimer: we started to fill the stairs but it became clear they would be too heavy and challenging to remove from the pool at the end of the season. These stairs do not accommodate sand containers that you would place on the underside (this review would have been 5 stars had these stairs come with an alternative weighted option). We weighed down the stairs with waterproof bags and fire glass- worked great! See photo-

I bought these because I have leg problems and the regular ladder that came with the pool made me nervous. I worried about my foot slipping on the narrow rungs. This ladder makes me feel secure as I climb into pool (we got two, one for the outside and one for the inside of the pool). Only concern is that I think we didn't get the rails as secure as I would like. They wobble a bit.

This ladder was the difference between my grandson being able to get out of the pool safely due to his inability to use fine motor skills. He would have had to watch his family and friends enjoy the pool while he watched, or have someone in the pool who could assist a 12year old who is over 6' to get out of the pool.
