Even cooking surface makes breakfast for a crowd simple!
This was a game changer for family breakfasts! For many years I used a griddle pan that straddled two of my stove’s burners but constantly had to watch the hot spots vs cold. I saw a review of this electric griddle and remembered growing up with something similar that could accommodate a lot of pancakes etc at once. This version is well made and has really even cooking so I can actually use the full space of the griddle and get breakfast on the plates at once. The plastic drip pan should probably be made of aluminum or something more durable but I typically cook bacon in my oven so that isn’t an issue for me. The sides fold in making storage more streamlined which is helpful. I find the surface easy to clean, just need to mind that water doesn’t saturate the part where the plugin dial goes.

A very nice electric griddle but some important considerations
We just ripped out our countertops and needed a temporary cooking solution. This is a very nice griddle and it was a best buy winner in one article so that's why we got it. Pros 1. It heats evenly and quickly 2. The nonstick surface is excellent 3. The dimensions are deeper and less wide than many, which is a good thing because it's better suited to a countertop that way 4. The folding legs are performing as advertised. Unlike other reviewers, we do not have a problem with stability Cons 1. There are some sharp edges where the grill surface curves up around the edge of the cooking space 2. The knob is very poorly placed. You have to reach over the hot cooking surface to adjust the heat or turn it off. This is really a big design flaw and I'm surprised they didn't figure out this was a bit dangerous during product testing 3. The grease tray does not lock into place. Another reviewer mentioned this and I dismissed it because she was the only one. But indeed, she was absolutely right. What happened to her is she was carrying it to another spot and the tray fell out and broke. I was doing the same thing. Fortunately, my tray didn't break and there was no grease in it, but that would have been a nightmare. I like it. We're keeping the item and those caveats in mind.

Great replacement for our old griddle
So far so good! This griddle has a large surface area. The folding legs help take up less of precious storage space. Most importantly, the pancake chef loves it!

Nice alternative to a hibachi grill
Works like a dream. Cooked a lot of bacon at once for a Christmas Eve party and it was consistent, easy to drain, and easy to clean. Would totally recommend

Presto knows how
Unlike many people I’ve never owned a griddle like this although I should have. As a foodie and a person who has kitchen appliances and gadgets everywhere (our family used to own a cookware store) this one seems so obvious. Suddenly I decided to do it, and as luck would have it there was a like new one for a substantial savings. I said why not. Here is what I learned. IS IT TOO LARGE It’s hard to visualize what an electric griddle will look like on your countertop and I was concerned it would be way too big. But no, in reality part of what makes it just right is the shape, it’s more square than rectangular which is actually a much better shape for lining up 6 average size pancakes and having enough room to also so a half dozen eggs. Even if you don’t cook that large this thing is not really that big, there’s no fluff or excess, just two easy to grab stay cool handles if you need to move it away while it’s still warm. And there’s no fussy assembly, the legs simply fold out and click into position then back flat for storage. I absolutely like that the legs suspend the hot surface far above my countertop, unlike most other brands, so I can’t see how it would ever be possible to scorch even laminate counters. GREAT FEATURES The cooking surface isn’t smooth Teflon like most griddles, it is a slightly pebbled ceramic top that makes it easy to flip pancakes, eggs, etc and it’s super easy to clean, you take the entire thing to your sink or dishwasher (minus the controller of course). And other than the controller there is no assembly required you just pop it in and out. THINGS TO IMPROVE I agree with those who say that the grease cup should have been made larger on this model than their smaller version, what were they thinking, of course a larger griddle will produce more grease to capture. I do not agree that the click in fit is a bad thing and that if you pull it out you’re likely to spill hot grease. I learned at age five not to play with a hot stove or the contents on it. Never pull a tray of hot grease out until it has cooled down. Which makes the tight fit a good thing so it doesn’t slide out on its own. I also agree with the idea of having some place to clip the probe into for storage, if it gets damaged you’re likelihood of finding another are pretty slim. And my own feeling are that something purposely designed to fold its legs so often probably should have been made out of cast aluminum not plastic. One peeve of mine is calling it foldable, when I first saw the ad I thought it folded in half for storage. It is an incorrect use of the word, the griddle does not fold, it tilts to let grease flow into the reservoir. COOKING WITH IT There are so many opinions here but what really counts is what its like cooking on it. Before giving my opinion as an experienced cook here a note on something really important, or is it? That has to do with facts and myths about does the heating element cover the entire surface of the griddle. When cavemen cooked over an open fire did it heat their entire griddle evenly? When granny cooked breakfast over an old gas stove did hers? Is that something to even be concerned about. I think the misconception comes in by people talking about the shape and location of the heating grids. Fact – there is no electric kitchen griddle made in this price range in which the entire top is a heating element. All of them use a probe (which is the only thing that heats up, the elements under the griddle are NOT electrified). That probe distributes heat from its tip through the elements under the surface which in turn heat up the entire surface. Showing off with a fancy infrared heat imaging camera “proving” that the elements are hotter than the main surface only prove that the elements are what are getting hot from transferring from the tip of the probe. Given time to heat up the entire top surface of any griddle is cookable and if you pour pancake batter on one area and it’s not ready to cook yet only means you haven’t given it enough time for the heat to spread, it takes time on any griddle, even back in prehistoric times. CLEANING UP After it cools you grab the handles and walk it over to your sink or dishwasher. What could be easier. YES NO MAYBE Unless you want spend several hundred dollars for a commercial griddle most of the ones you will find in this range are made of the cheapest plastic. My first impression of this one is that this is the way Presto used to make cookware back in my grandmother’s day. It is definitely heavy and well made and you get what you pay for. After reading all of the stories from customers who were dissatisfied with other brands for one reason or another I chose Presto and there absolutely is a difference in quality.

Great purchase that makes cooking much more pleasant
It is extremely useful. Anything from eggs, to pancakes, to French toast is easily made on this. When making French toast it is easy to make 8-9 pieces at a time. Making toast or pancakes is significantly more enjoyable. The lip around the edge helps to keep food inside. It’s relatively portable and easy to take along when traveling. Easy to store at home when not in use with the legs folded under. Cleanup is easy and even almost after a year of using it more than once a day, it looks as good as new. The non-stick coating is very useful and as good as new. Highly recommend purchasing this!

I like it
First let me give the caveat, this is a low end budget griddle with a single loop element. I am really liking this Presto grill. The two outstanding features are the size and the nonstick surface. The cooking surface is big enough that we can now eat our pancakes at the same time instead of taking turns. The heat is uneven as you should expect but knowing this you can move food as it cooks and still get an even cook. The surface cleans very easily, even the stuck sugar that is in most of our food now, will come right off with a wet paper towel and a little heat. It will be interesting to see if the nonstick lasts, my last griddle was sticking badly after only about three months of use.

I bought this Presto Electric Tilt-N-fold Griddle after doing a lot of research and I found it to be one of the best electric griddles in the market and a great value for money. I am very pleased with this product and here are some reasons why: It is well made and sturdy, durable. The griddle is made of heavy cast aluminum that resists corrosion and bending. It can handle high-heat cooking and heavy food without any problem. It has a large capacity. The griddle has an extra-large 254 square inch cooking surface that can fit more pancakes, eggs, sandwiches, and meats than most conventional rectangular griddles. It has a smart tilt and fold design. The griddle easily adjusts from a level cooking surface for eggs and pancakes to a tilted surface for meats. Simple flip-down levers tilt the grilling surface to drain fat and grease while cooking. For compact storage, the legs fold in and the drip tray locks in place. It fits neatly in most standard 18-inch cabinets. It has a high quality non stick surface. The griddle has a PFAS-free ceramic nonstick cooking surface that ensures stick-free cooking and easy cleaning. Food slides off easily and does not leave any residue or stains. It has temperature controls. The griddle has a Control Master heat control that maintains the desired cooking temperature automatically. It has a range of settings from warm to 400°F to suit different types of food. It is easy to clean. The griddle is fully immersible with the heat control removed. It can be submerged and cleaned in the sink with warm water and soap. The slide-out drip tray is also dishwasher safe and empties easily. TIP: Always do preheating. The griddle needs to be preheated for about 10 minutes before cooking to ensure even heat distribution and optimal results, Preheating will also reduce food sticking to surface. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a versatile and convenient electric griddle for their kitchen. It is a simple and effective tool that makes cooking more enjoyable.

Griddle arrived in a timely manner as posted by seller. The griddle itself is great !!! It has a large surface which I was looking for (it's probably the biggest one I found at time of ordering) The surface of the griddle is non stick and there is no need to use pan spray or oil before cooking. It states in the booklet not to use spray. Made pancakes and they turned out perfect and none of them stuck to the surface. I like the idea of the units folding legs for storage and also the tilt feature that can be used when cooking something fatty or greasy such as burgers or sausage etc. The drip tray is very large to accommodate such grease and not spill over. I love it !!! Best griddle I've had in years!!! 5 stars easy !!!

I bought this well built griddle after doing a lot of research and am quite happy with it. There are some cool and hot spots, but within reason. Great for large breakfasts. I do have two complaints. The first is that the grease trap and grease trap tray is not built to prevent the grease tray from inadvertently falling out. This happened when I first tried to use the griddle, resulting in the trap hitting the floor. The griddle has a tilt option. The grease tray must be removed before tilting the griddle and put on the counter. The second complaint is about the brittleness of the grease tray. The back corners of the tray broke off. The first one the first time I tried to set up the griddle. The other corner soon after in a similar incident. I will say that this griddle is far better than any other I've used, despite my complaints.
