As shown in the side view, the clock does not have a real frame. The so-called wood it's made of seems like very light particle board or maybe wood-toned cardboard. Contrary to my reasonable expectation based on the reference to France, the word partially covered by the hour hand is NOT "Champs." So instead of saying "Champs Elysees," it actually says "Chrips Elysees."
