Works Great - Highly Recommend
Delivers strong results for moisture and odor control. • Compact footprint. Fits easily in tight basement spaces • Quiet operation. No disruption during the day or at night • Fast setup. Ready to run in minutes • Simple controls. No learning curve Performance stands out. It pulled a large amount of water from the air in a short time. Basement air now feels dry and clean with no lingering odor. Clear recommendation for anyone dealing with damp spaces.

Light, quiet and works great.
Great dehumidifier and pulls water out of the air very quickly. When I had questions, their support team was very responsive and followed up to make sure my expectations were met. Anna was great! Hopefully the unit will continue to operate for many years like my other brand has.

Effective
So far, this product has wowed us. It's remarkable to see how much moisture we've been living with in our daylight basement that's around 1,350 square feet. There's two bedrooms attaching to a large, carpeted living area, along with a full bath. The dehumidifier is effective at pulling moisture from every room - a difference we can feel by air movement in each room - and zero dampness now. Once a day we empty the water collection bucket that's full to the top. That really shocked us. It's surprising how much unseen dampness we've been living with and equally surprising it hasn't caused health issues. Since we just got this product, can't speak to the longevity of it; however, it seems very well built. From my research, it has one of the top warranties of its competitors, so we didn't feel compelled to pay for an extended warranty. That saved some dough - a definite plus. Time will tell if the unit holds up. Set-up is easy, and controls are intuitive. It's very quiet - hardly noticeable from bedrooms attaching to the family room where it sits. Air coming from the fan isn't noticeably warmer than the room. Wheels make it easy to maneuver even on carpet. A sticker on the handle up top didn't peel off well so you may need to use common rubbing alcohol to get residue off. Worked for us. Emptying the bucket is simple enough. Auto shut-off worked perfectly when it was full - a nice failsafe - but we've started dumping it every morning. In our case, 24 hours seems to be the timeline to a full bucket. All said and done, we would definitely recommend this dehumidifier and seller. It came well packed by the manufacturer and Amazon, and on time. Everything was as advertised, and the price very competitive. The welcome packet in the box has simple, easy to follow instructions, a nice letter from the Vellgoo team, and instructions to extend your warranty an additional year. Note: You will see a recommendation to sit the unit upright for 24 hours before first use. I'm not sure why that's necessary but yeah, I did as it said. Guessing it has freon or some other gas/liquid inside that needs to settle before use.

Worked good for 2 months... Updates below
Plugged in July 28, and it worked great. Until the last week or so. Today is Oct. 4 and it is running but humidity level won't go below 57% and there is virtually no water in tank. I usually read and believe the bad reviews first. Don't know why I didn't this time, other than I had a lot going on, needed a dehumidifier and this one seemed to be the perfect one. I liked the size and weight. It was easy for me to carry to basement. I liked the smaller water tank, because it wasn't heavy when full. It was easy to empty. And it was quiet. But lasting only 2 months is totally unacceptable. I don't appreciate spending 250+ for 2 months of operation. I'm tired of getting ripped off every time I turn around... I have it unobstructed, away from a wall. The filter is not dirty. It's running...just not sensing the humidity and removing any from the room. The seller emailed me after I ordered and said to contact them if I had any problems. I'm going to contact them later today. Will report back on my results. But I'm not holding my breath for an easy resolution, because sadly that just isn't how life works anymore.... ----------- UPDATE I was unable to contact the seller, but I contacted Vellgoo at the email address in their instruction manual. They guarantee an answer within 12 hours, which is actually true. Mina is great. After a couple emails and a test of machine, they are sending me a new machine at no cost! I am so impressed, and my faith in humanity has been restored!!! I added 3 more stars, from 1 to 4, basically for the stellar customer service. Will update further if I receive the replacement and it works. Mina gets 5 stars!! UPDATE #2: They sent me a new dehumidifier, as Mina promised. It worked, but there was a problem with the float in the tank and it would not shut off when the tank was full. I had a few frustrating water wipe ups in basement. I contacted Mina and they promptly sent me a new water tank. I'm hopeful the machine will keep running and will shut off when the water tank is full. I've got to say that Mina's customer service is top notch. Always answers emails, and checks back to make sure things are going well, etc. Well done, Mina! Listen up, Vellgoo, Mina needs a raise!!! She is great. I will report back if there are any more issues, but I'm happy so far. One thing I just love, is that this dehumidifier is so quiet!! I just hope it stays working. _________ Another final update: Downgrade to 1 star... When I finally got another unit and collection bucket last October, it ran fine for a few weeks, and then I shut off for winter. I turned it on earlier this spring (Today is July 14, 2025) and it has been running like a champ. Until the last day or so... it's running but not removing water and humidity shows 57%. Summary: Original unit purchased 7/25/24. Ran until the end of Sept. 2024. Received a new replacement unit and a new collection bucket in October 2024. Ran the new replacement unit about a month in 2024. Stored it over the winter. Plugged it in approx April 2025 and its no longer working July 14 2025. SO, BASICALLY, THESE WORK ANYWHERE FROM 2 TO 4 MONTHS. I'm done. And disappointed. THIS IS FINAL UPDATE: I contacted Vellgoo about the 2nd unit's failure. Emily answered each email promptly and in order to provide good customer relations (and prob since the one year warranty is still in effect on the original unit until July 25, 2025) they have made good and issued me a credit for this unit. I am happy with the result, and their customer service is great, but I just wish their product had been as good as their customer service. All's well that ends well. ONE STAR FOR DEHUMIDIFIER. FIVE STARS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Works very quietly
Update May 25, 2025 - at their email staff 's direction, we did some troubleshooting to see if the device was having an error that could be reset. Unfortunately that didn't work so their team offered me the choice of refund or replacement. I chose the replacement even though the warranty stays from the date of the original purchase, giving me about another year. The replacement device shipped from Amazon and arrived quickly at my house. This review is now at 4 stars. If it really only lasts a year, it isn't worth the cost. I chose replacement because when it works, it works well and isn't too loud. I hope the replacement lasts longer than a year! Update May 19, 2025 - as of this weekend the dehumidifier has stopped working. It just blows air and isn't pulling any humidity out of the air. I contacted customer service (I also registered it at the time of purchase to extend the warranty to two years) and expect to hear back soon. I'm subtracting two stars while I wait for a response. Having a dehumidifier at this price point only work for under a year is very disappointing. Original review, July 2024 - I impulse bought this dehumidifier right after Houston's most recent hurricane. I decided I needed to better dehumidify a room where my windows leaked. Amazon delivered it quickly and it was very well packaged. My old workhorse dehumidifier still works but is exceptionally loud and weighs a ton so it's hard for me to get it moved in different places or up/down stairs. The appealing factors for this item were the reported quietness and decent water collection tank. And wow, it is quiet. It sounds about like a loud fan (which is a nice background noise.) My old dehumidifier sounds like a lawn mower for comparison. If I tried to run it 24 hours a day, I would probably have to pour out the reservoir multiple times. It's very humid around here. If I had a way to use the gravity drain I would, but until then I will just keep pouring out the bucket. The bucket itself is easy to pull out, and then you just pop off the lid and pour. It's actually very easy compared to my old one. I wish it were a little bit bigger though. So far I have used the timer settings as well as the setting where it will work to a specified level of humidity. Both of these work great. My only concern about the timer, which always works, is that it has a beep at the end. I don't know why, but if you're going to run it for a few hours in a bedroom, note that it will make a noise. Of course you could just run it continuously. The auto stop has worked swimmingly and that's not a pun. So far each time the basin has filled, it has shut off perfectly. I've already recommended this model to a couple of friends. The directions are clear and setup was easy. Note that the hoses are in the bucket and that it has to sit for 24 hours upright before running. There's a giant sticker reminder, you can't miss it.

Best Unit + Excellent Customer Service
I did not realize I need a dehumidifier in northern California until I saw some mold appeared on the wall. I bought three thermometers and placed them in the rooms where molds coming out. During the night, the humidity went up 10%-15% in my bedroom and I can see tiny water drops on the lower end of window glass. One side of the dry wall seems damped when I touched. My wife and I have replaced the roof, sealed all the windows from outside. Although these improves a lot but problem still exists. We've tried to open the windows as long as possible but this is not that efficient to remove the moisture out of some of the rooms. Restroom is OK because we turned on the exhaust fan after showers. So we decided to by a dehumidifier. We 've consider the one that Costco sales also other brands that listed in energystar.gov. We are also thinking to install one that can directly have connected to our central A/C but it costs too much. Besides, we need one that uses less energy due to the unreasonable high electrical bill from PG&E. Not like M**** and other brands, it uses only half of the power - around 280 watts/h with similar capability. We got the unit in March to tried it out. Within less than 30 minibuses, my small bedroom can be dry as low as 40-45% RH from 70% with door closed. Even the walls are dried. So far, I have not seen any mold coming back yet in. except too dry make my nose feel uncomfortable. One issue is that the unit shows flashing "E1" after turn on a while. Fortunately, I emailed to customer service, Mina replied almost right away. Just in two emails, I got a placement in less a week. This unit it not wireless controllable but I can setup a timer, combine with humidity setting. or simply click the the comfort button. for example, When I set to 55%, the unit will automatelly turn on at about 59% and stopped at 53%. after fan on for a while, it completed stopped and into the idle mode to keep tracking the humidity changes. Although the exhaust air temperature may be 10 F higher when compress is on but it blows a cooler air out after it goes to fan only mode. Pros - Excellent power consumption - kill-a-watt shows in full speed of fan: fully run (about) 280W, fan only: 35W. idle: <1W (with display on, not off) - Excellent customer service - Good Noise level - about 50db measured in 3ft (1m) away in full fan speed - looks better - ready to use (with wheel installed) - please remove the adapter inside the water bucket Cons - The display is kind of dimmed, it hard to see when light is too bright. - The display is not changed when E1 is flashing - That will be better If it can show other info when we operate the unit - and we know it still OK like manual stated. Highly recommend from a happy customer.

Excellent Customer Support
I picked up the DRYTANK3000 dehumidifier from Amazon a while back, and it’s been a game-changer. Here’s my honest take on this unit. Performance: Right out of the box, the DRYTANK impressed me with its ability to pull moisture daily. I was thrilled with how well it worked. Low Noise: One of my favorite features is the low noise. I could run it all day without it bothering me, which is a huge plus for a dehumidifier this powerful. Affordable: For what it delivers, the DRYTANK is surprisingly affordable. It’s priced competitively, offering premium features without the premium cost. I felt like I got a steal for my money. Lightweight: Weighing just 35 pounds, this unit is remarkably lightweight for its capacity. Energy Efficient: It’s Energy Star-certified, sipping only about 284 watts. Design & Ease of Use: The sleek, compact design fits anywhere, and the simple controls make it a breeze to operate. The 1.4-gallon tank fills fast in humid conditions, but the included drain hose option saves the day if you don’t want to empty it often. Durability & Customer Service: Here’s where my story gets interesting. My unit ran flawlessly for just over two years—then, a month past the warranty, it stopped working. I figured I was out of luck, but I contacted Vellgoo anyway. To my shock, their customer service was unbelievable. Despite being out of the warranty timeframe, they offered me a new unit—no hassle, no excuses. Who does that these days? I’m now waiting for the replacement, and I can’t praise their good customer service enough. It’s rare to find a company that stands behind their product like this. Overall, the DRYTANK3000 is a fantastic dehumidifier—low noise, affordable, lightweight, and energy efficient. Sure, mine gave out after a couple of years, but the performance while it lasted was top-notch, and their unbelievable customer service turned a frustration into a win. If the new unit holds up, I’ll be a customer for life. For anyone needing a solid, budget-friendly dehumidifier with a company that actually cares, this is it. Update: The second unit died after just a week of usage. At this point, I’m not going to reach out to them again—it's probably better to start looking for another brand. That said, I’m still leaving a 5-star review because their customer service truly went above and beyond the first time, and that deserves recognition.

Perfect for Controlling Basement Humidity
Having a basement without any ventilation in New England means that the humidity needs to be controlled year-round especially since it's home to my favorite place in the house, my home gym. Like anything else, dehumidifiers don't last forever & it was time for a replacement. After researching a number of options, and reading reviews, I selected the Vellgoo & am very pleased. It effectively reduces the moisture in the air. In terms of accuray, it is on point. I have a humidity monitor in the basement & it consistently matches the reading on the unit. Since my old unit had given up the ghost, when I initially put the Vellgoo on, it was reading 62% & about 7 hours later, 50%. (The collection bucket filled overnight & the auto-shutoff feature engaged, so it increased to 52% this morning (photo)). In terms of the collection bucket, while noted in the description, I didn't think a lot about the size but it's quite small. On the one hand, it's easy to carry up/down stairs while on the other, it will need to be emptied at least daily during the summer months. I'll add however that the collection bucket has a lid! This is fantastic as I've sloshed/spilled plenty of water over the years LOL so it's a really nice perk. Another aspect that was important in selecting this brand/model is the energy efficiency award. Living in an area with very high electricity costs, and knowing during the summer it will run 24/7, the Energy Star award has value. The most difficult part of setup was the patience of allowing it to sit upright for 24 hours before use LOL; otherwise, it's very simple. My basement does not have anywhere to drain the unit so I rely on the included bucket, but a hose & adapter are included for those fortunate to have the other option. Overall, I am very pleased. The unit is very quiet - a nice bonus & is sleek in its design.

Great dehumidifier with great customer service
My Vellgoo dehumidifier worked perfectly for 10 months. It was quiet with easy controls and it did an excellent job managing the humidity in my basement. When it stopped working, I contacted Vellgoo customer service and they sent me a new replacement in a couple of days. Below are some more details of my interactions with Mina, at Vellgoo customer service. I was disappointed when it stopped working, but I contacted Vellgoo customer service and was paired with Mina, who asked me a few questions to help her diagnose the problem. I changed some settings and reported my observations back to Mina, who then diagnosed the likely problem as a fault with the electric control unit. I was expecting instructions for contacting a local service person, but that isn’t what happened. Vellgoo offered me a new replacement dehumidifier, which I accepted quickly and the new dehumidifier was shipped quickly by Mina. The best customer service experience I have ever had. Thank you, Mina, and thank you, Vellgoo.

Semble bien

Love it!
I moved into a basement apartment for the first time and started having issues with all my belongings just being *damp* now that summer hit. I've had this guy plugged in for about a day now and it managed to pull 5 full tanks of water already and dragged the humidity down from almost 90% to around 50% (measured by the unit itself). I'm in love with it so far and the only downside has been the included drain hose being too short to be even near useful for auto-draining, and that's easily fixed by buying a longer hose.

Edit: one of the two units I own broke after one season-customer service is non-existent
Edit: Compressor stopped working after doing well for one summer. customer service is non-existent No response from customer service. What’s the use of a 5y warranty on the compressor if the company doesn’t respond? Original: Effective and less noise than any other dehumidifier I had. I bought a second one for the basement of a city duplex. As good as the first I bought last year for the cottage.
