Muffled Audio, But Stays Low Voiume.
I purchased these and some JBL JR 300 to gift to a younger family member. I decided to test both and see which would end up being the better headphones. The JBuddies feel like they are made of stronger material, except the size adjustments sliders, which are just a couple of thin metal rods per side that seemed like they could get bent out of shape pretty easy. They also had a vulnerable point, the signal wires going to the ear cups are exposed and could snag on something or get pulled by absent minded fingers. The JBL JR 300 felt a little more plasticky, not much more. Also the fake leather covering the ear pads felt thinner. However there were no vulnerable wires or any overt weak points and no exposed signal wires. The cord is not a round wire, it is flat like a ribbon which feels kind of thin compared to a traditional round wire.I used a basic sound meter (factory calibrated, not certified) to test how loud they would get. Quieter is safer for young ears, so lower dB is better. Safety standards that are often quoted claim 85dB is the upper limit for safe sound levels. The JBuddies won out here, they wouldn't go past about 80dB no matter how much I tried to push them. The JBL JR 300 went right up to the line at 85dB.Next was sound quality, tested by having me and another family member listen to a variety of music. The JBL JR 300 easily won this comparison. The sound was cleaner, clearer, and bass/midrange/treble were balanced very well. These sound like adult headphones, just not as loud. The JBuddies had a touch too much midrange and lower treble. This gave them a sort of muffled sound. I found myself trying hard to hear some instrument, voice, or other sound.I ended up keeping the JBL JR 300, to gift to my family, and sending the JBuddies back. My reasoning was two-fold.First, the JBuddies thin metal rods and exposed signal wire don't inspire any confidence in it's ability to survive life with kids. The JBL JR 300 is a more solid structure and feels more kid-proof.Second, while the JBuddies maxed out at a lower volume, the more muffled sound quality caused me to want to listen at the higher volumes just to try and hear things better. The JBL JR 300, being clean and clear allowed me to hear at lower volumes and did not make me feel the need to turn it up.With a few adjustments, the JBuddies could be great kids headphones, I hope JLab refines them and puts out a better product in the future. I love their Retro Rewind Headphones, so I know they can put out something with more quality. Right now, the JBL JR 300 get my vote.

Good Value - Good Comfort for Kids
This is actually the 2nd pair of these I've purchased. We had to have a pair to stay at school and thankfully these were delivered quickly. The sound quality is good, no complaints about any discomfort even after wearing for an hour or more. The cord is nice and thick which is good since they tend to get chucked in a backpack for days at a time and come out without any knots. I would definitely recommend JLAB if you are looking for a good value on kids (and adult) headphones and earbuds.

Awesome little headphones for kids!
Our daughter had a habit of wrecking corded headphones's jack plugs. Her last pair was by this maker, and she loved them and they held up well, but the same issue. These are VERY comfortable. My wife and I will even use them on occasion and we're full-sized adults. The materials are very nice. Soft earcups. Lightweight but feel sturdy and well made. They have great battery life.Easy operation. Most important: They're truly sound-limiting at 85dbs.No jacks and jack plugs to get ruined. She walks all over our house in them and loves that she can pause and advance tracks from the headset.

Very nice volume limited headphones for a child in elementary school.
So far so good. Just received this tonight and tested it out. It has very good audio quality for the price and purpose, and the volume limiting circuitry seems to do the job; the volume can get loud, but not loud enough to hurt the ears. I would still advise your child to exercise responsibility and only set the volume high enough to hear and no more, but it's nice to know it has that extra protection in case a device is capable of putting out too much volume and is set too high on initial activation. The look and construction are both very good, and I have high confidence this will perform well for its purpose in grade school. If it turns out to not be as durable as I expect, my review and rating here will change. The fit is very good for a kid grade school that is beyond their toddler/kindergarten years.

Wonderful for young kids!
Wow! My son is a larger than average 14 month old. I got very nervous when the box said that they were good for 6 and up thinking they would be too big. These were perfect for him and he tolerates them well as we practiced them for his first flight. Thank you!!

Our third pair
After reading some tests that found few brands of volume limiting headphones truly keep volume from harming kids’ ears, I was pleased to find these at such a good price. Kiddo loves them and the adults in the house can wear them comfortably. There’s enough noise canceling from the padding to work well but not so much I cant get kiddo’s attention from across the room when I need to. We own both Bluetooth and wired. They last a few years which isn’t bad for this price. The mic is imperfect but that’s a small price to pay for avoiding permanent hearing damage.

Great Product! Kids wear with no complaints!
We originally got two for our daughters and a different dinosaur themed one for our son (5 yrs old). The dinosaur ones stopped working after a few months while the girls JLab were still working great. Plus the girls were always wearing the JLab headphones with no complaints whereas our son had to be reminded. We then bought a JLab set four son. Now that he has his JLab he wears them by choice and does not have to be reminded so the JLab must be much more comfortable! Our daughters say they are comfortable as well. Great product!

Exactly what you need for Kids
These rock. Easy to use and the functions for the kids to utilize are simple enough for my 4 yo to understand. These have been heaven sent for all the remote learning going on, the kids say these are the first headphones to fit comfortably let alone their cost is on point! These are so cost effective with their high quality we will be purchasing more of them.

Broken Bluetooth and too quiet to hear
I can’t understand why these headphones have received such positive reviews. We bought these specifically for a long flight this year, but the 85db volume limit means that our son could barely hear a thing when he used them in an airport (or on the plane itself) with moderate background noise. They would probably be ok if used in a quiet room but that is not a typical use case. It appears that the volume limit cannot be overridden so these headphones are essentially useless to us, and we will have to buy a different pair.Furthermore, Bluetooth connectivity stopped working less than 2 months after purchase. They do fit well, which is something at least, but in every other respect they are a dreadful pair of headphones and best avoided in my opinion.

Just what we wanted
I looked at a lot of products when looking to buy wireless headphones for my then 7 yr old son. All of them had some negative reviews. I finally settled on these. At the time of this review he's been using them for 11 months and they've been great. He uses them everyday. They're comfortable, hold a charge that lasts a few days for him and I don't have to worry about his hearing getting damaged by playing things too loud. If they broke now I'd probably buy them again but they're showing no signs of stopping yet.

Avoid. Poorly made.
Terrible, within a day the blue cable wore white and then within a week they looked like they did in the photo. They have stopped working completely now.Complete rip off, will be looking for my money back.

Great children’s headphones
These are great headphones for my 3 year old son. They’re adjustable so they would suit a wide range of ages. I like the wireless option which makes it easier for children to use and take on and off etc. The maximum volume is also a good so you know the sound won’t get too loud. A great pair of children’s headphones.
