Rust-Oleum Roof Accessory Coating Spray Paint, Rustic Brown

Had to replace my old rusty whirlybird. They were metal and very old and not working properly. All the ones in the market now are aluminum and usually come in bright silver. I got this spray paint and painted the two new whirlybird and all the other thingys sticking out of the roof. Looks great. Blends in well. The only thing a could say is the name of the color is weathered wood and the color sample on the lid and on Internet looks a lot darker. As you can see from my photos it looks nothing like the lid, but it’s perfect for my roof.

I love the colour of this paint. I have a piece of wood furniture with a paint wash over it, and its natural wood colour tones match really well with the "cedar" finish of the product. I was able to sparypaint something with this and then do a wash over the finish, and it matches perfectly with the natural wood of the other fueniture. The finish on its own is beautiful as well. Nice and warm. Easy application with a nice sort of sheen inbetween matte and satin. Forgive my description. I'm not really familiar with finishes too much, but it's nice, like what you see on a lot of modern furniture sets.

Spray paint to coordinate with color of roof. Hailco of AZ brought me a paint almost black was the brown for a tan roof. That was unexceptionable so I ordered this instead. You can have the real color you need and not let roofing companies con you into brown, white, stainless they lie!

Easy to use, true to colors in photos

The paint quality is good however, the color is burnt orange.

My aluminum ridge vent needed re-painted, and this did a great job. It was easy to use and the color was a good match.

This is great stuff. I have no idea if just any old Rustoleum exterior paint would be the same, but it's just the right color and finish (matte) for irregular looking flashings. I used it on a chimney flashing that had blobs of tar on it that contrasted with the metal beneath. It blends in immediately and just disappears. Perfect.

The cap is brown. (This is Weathered Wood color I'm writing about.) But the paint is gray. Please look at the photo I have uploaded. I painted the left half of the cap with the paint in the can. You can see that the sides do not match – the paint in the can is definitely gray, and does not come close to matching the right side. I cannot return the two cans I bought and I’m pretty unhappy about it. I hope someone from Rustoleum will see this and let me know how it can be made right.
