If you like golf, you'll like this. It's surprisingly difficult and actually pretty similar to playing real golf. Decent enough value for money, graphics are fine but not top of the range. It's not a game for people who aren't interested in golf

I'm not a massive golf fan but I usually watch the Ryder cup and majors. I always wait for prices to drop before buying games, this was £70 or there about brand new and 6 months later Amazon and playstation are selling for £20. So I was looking forward to playing this, imo the 2k series had decent gameplay but awful visuals, especially the water hazards. The graphics in this though are quite impressive at times, with realistic lighting effects and courses that look like the real thing, especially Augusta. So it looks good, and it plays good too. U can choose from a 3 click swing or use the analog sticks, which I prefer but it's the right decision to give players the option. There is quite a deep career mode, taking you through a full amateur then PGA tour season, hundreds of sponsors challenges and u can also replay epic moments from real tournaments of the past. Levelling up your golfer takes time, I prefer to focus on approach play but sometimes you really need power to bring down your score. You can buy clothes and accessories for your golfer and have up to five golf bags which you can customise depending on the course. So all good, but there are a few issues, notably no replays?!? So you make an epic 50 ft putt and can never see it again, well unless you hit the share button on the ps5. Another issue seems that even with the AI scoring difficulty at 100, which is the max setting, I can always seem to win if you can get to 20 under or lower, the lowest AI score I have seen is -22 over four rounds. But the game is challenging and frustrating enough to be considered the most realistic golf game available right now, especially as priced are even lower now Definitely worth having for even moderate golf fans.

This can be a very exasperating game for people who have a good knowledge of golf as some of the experiences are completely unreal.

I first played this on PC and tried since April last year to get the game to play well. I failed. The ai and scoring system is broken beyond repair. In desperation I switched to Ps5. Once again I couldn't get the game to play well. I only play career mode. The game was just too easy even on max difficulty. So I went back to the beginning and started again. That's how I found the way to make the game a challenge. I now love the game. The ps5 version is vastly superior to pc. Obviously it's graphically inferior, but great graphics don't make a great game. The ai and scoring is way better on ps5. On pc it's a joke. This would be a 5 star review but for the fact that it's a complete pain to get right. Key is not upgrading your golfers skills beyond the absolute basic. Do not upgrade your power and driving skills. I can't wholeheartedly recommend the game. It's for those whom have time to spend getting the settings right. Do that and you've got a very good golf game

I was recently introduced to golf on console games with the 2k series. After playing those games and finding them too easy I decided to give to give this game a go. After playing this golf game for the past 10 days or so , I highly recommend. It’s challenging in a good way - much like golf in real life. Took me a week to get the hang over it - you can’t dive straight in and the you need to practice with the coaching challenges before diving into the career but once it clicks - it’s really enjoyable. The gameplay, graphics and career are superb. The only down sides are the lack of character customisation, lack of equipment/ apparel (compared with the 2k series) and it’s missing many big name golfers. Despite this, the game is really enjoyable and challenging

This game is excellent

Easily the best looking and playing golf game, far in front of 2K25 in both departments. Unfortunately though the developers already stopped trying to fix the (many) bugs or add new content.
