great stuff. it works.
brief: awesome stuff. it actually works and can actually get out deep cigarette smells that have been baked into the cloth upholstery of a car for years. but... your car will smell like chemically baby powder for at least a week. after that, you'll have good, normal clean air/smell in your car. advice: "what you get out (the result), depends on what you put in (labor and care invested)." this life saying is so true. i bought a 4 year old used car. days after i settle on the price with the dealer, i went to pick up the car. details: when i got to the lot, the car windows were all rolled down, and the sunroof wide open. but, being this was only the 1st time i ever really bought a car solo, i suspected nothing. drove the car home for an hour, no problem. days later, i finally figured out why the dealer rolled down all the windows... horrible smoke smell. so, i talked to some car friends and mechanics. i was told that you can't get the smell out, have to spend hundreds and go for ozone cleaning, or a deep cleaning. bs, or they didn't know what they were talking about. i bought this 10 dollar can, took all mats out of car. vacuumed EVERYthing and everywhere in my car. wiped down everything with scented baby wipes; i used baby wipes because i was sure that was safer to use than chemicals like bleach or chlorox wipes. then, i sprayed or "fired" this odor bomb everywhere: under the front seats, aimed at the head liner, into seat backs. i raised, lowered, tilted, reclined front seats and still aimed everywhere that was exposed. even pushed this stuff into the air vents (months later, no problems). then, i shut the doors, windows. stepped out, sprayed the bomb stuff one more time as i was outside the car with one door open. then, just threw the can in the car, left it alone overnight. when i got up, the cigarette smell was gone... but there was an even worse smell. my best description really is that it smelled like very strong chemicals... but like "metallic baby powder". i know this makes little sense... but that's what i really smelled like. yes, it did smell worse than the original cigarette smell. might have been worse that even more potent cigars. so, for the next week, when i turned on the car, i put the ac on and turned off recirculate mode. i wanted to get rid of the odor bomb smell so badly and quickly - so i wanted to draw in air from the outside. whenever i drove, i tried to drive with the windows open, sunroof open. even when i parked overnight or for a days work fro 9 to 5, i left the rear windows a little open, and my sunroof tilted up. secret might be to get a lot of air flow post bomb spraying. when i could i would even roll down all the windows and open all the doors. wanted maximum wind and air flow to enter the car. about 1 week later, odor bomb and cigarette smell gone.... and i couldn't be happier with my neutral, clean, natural air clothe upholstery car. would definitly buy again... and wouldn't have done much of anything differently. summary: I THINK THE TRICK is to vacuum and or wipe everything down with baby wipes, spray this odor bomb everywhere, close all windows, let the car sit overnight.... then air out as much as possible.

Eliminates strong cigarette smell in car
Absolutely works. I bought a Mercedes SL500 on an auction site and was upset to find it with a powerful cigarette smell once it was delivered. I used this once and it works like magic. I kept the car sealed for a few days and then aired it out. Now, a few weeks later it has a faint and pleasant baby powder scent. I am sure this will fade. Not sure if the smoke smell will come back, but I really don’t think it will. This doesn’t mask the odor, it actually eliminates the smoke smell.

Mom! Your car smells like white trash!
After hearing that from my kids* one too many times, I read an article on DIY car detailing, and they recommended this spray heard as the best product for getting smoke odor out of the car. After reading the reviews about the strong odor, I was a little nervous buying it but since the article spoke so highly of it, I figured I'd go for it. It works GREAT!!! Took the smell of cigarettes right out of my car! I can see where the initial smell could be a little overwhelming in close quarters (I sprayed it while I was in the car, and had to open the window so I didn't choke), but let's face it - once the interior of a car gets that smoke odor, it is almost impossible to get rid of it. Even a good "Febreezing" will only mask it. This stuff actually did get RID of the odor. This is a new "staple" in my car!! *Disclaimer: My kids are adults, with their own cars - the only lungs I am polluting are my own.

Works wonders
Bought an old car stored for many years as a project. Interior was very musty smelling. Once the vents and fans were working I sprayed a light coat of this inside the car and turned the fans on high with recirculation turned on. Then sprayed a little more through the intake for the cabin air. I left it running for about 10 minutes then turned it off and opened the car up fully. Mild baby powder smell left over but not too strong.

It works but unpleasant at first
No doubt this product stinks to high heaven when first applied. As people described, it smells like industrial strength baby powder and is not pleasant after application. However, neither is musty smoke odors in fabrics. So what I do is spray it on in the evening and then run a fan all night long on where I sprayed. The smell will dramatically improve in the morning and become tolerable. It will still be strong so it takes 2-3 more nights of running a fan to air it out before it reaches a point where it becomes a faint odor. At this point the odor will then gradually fade until it's only noticeable up close and then smells fine - no smoke smell. After the treatment period this stuff really seems to stick. Yes, other products are more pleasant smelling but they also don't last very long, i.e, febreze and fabric/carpet cleaners. This stuff has lasted a month so far and it stands up to ozone treatments also. 4 stars because it's so overbearing at first and it costs way too much.

Non-Smoke Beats Ozonator
The other day I bought a 2009 Nissan Titan just after it hit the dealership lot. It's a beautiful truck but it smelled like cigarettes. The dealership said they would run an ozonator in it for a few hours after they detailed the truck and I could pick it up the next day. It smelled much better the next day but the first day of sitting closed in a warm sun the truck smelled like cigarettes. An article in "Popular Mechanics" mentioned Non-Smoke for eliminating the tobacco odor. I purchased two cans from Amazon. One to use right away and one to save for when the odor returned. I used the directions from the magazine article. For about 10 days the smell of baby powder was very strong but the smoke odor was gone. It has been about a month with some very hot days and the smoke odor has not returned. I used about 3/4 of a can. I could have used just half. Good stuff, I would buy it again but I don't have to.

Fantastic product, I used it to rid house and car when I gave up smoking. Leaves a chemical smell at first but it’s not unpleasant and doesn’t last long. Cars previously owner had dogs and this stuff got rid of the dog smell too.

I bought this once before and it worked great but when we bought a second vehicle and it had been smoked in I was in a hurry to get rid of that dreadful stench and bought something else locally. It didn't work. So I looked up my orders and found this again. It works great. It's strong so don't get in the vehicle for at least 2 hours after but it works .
