OSD Audio 100W in Wall Volume Control Impedance Matching for Home Speakers, Rotary Knob White SVC100

This volume control works perfectly. I replaced my 19 year old volume control that was making a distortion sound and is outside on my patio. This one was the same dimensions exactly so it fit right in the receptacle. The connectors are clearly marked input and output and are removable so you can make your connections easily and then connect them up to the unit. It also comes with three color knobs and cover to match your decor. Very satisfied as my sound is back to high fidelity. The instructions were clear also. Highly recommend.

Works well with my set up,I like the impedance match built into the volume control.A little harder to get to it but with a clear instruction will work.

It's a quality product that is easy to install. I had trouble at first, but changed the impedance (receiver settings) and it was perfect. I'm running a 5.2.1 with the Volume knob controlling pool side speakers spliced with connectors to the front speaker output.

Would have been perfect except for my ignorance. This volume control is rated at 100 W. My receiver's output is 250W. It worked for about 24 hours and then it "blew". I did not understand the significance of the wattage of the unit vs the wattage of my receiver. Amazon was nice enough to allow the return of the unit. I ordered the same product - same company , but the 300W model. It works perfectly! Lesson to be learned. Make sure that the wattage of the volume controller is more than the wattage of your receiver. Would definitely recommend for purchase - just get the right wattage model.

Works well. Inputs/outputs little bigger than other models I have used making it a bit easier to wire. Also came with 2 other different knob and cover plate color options which is nice

What I liked 1. It came with different color face plates - wasn't a separate purchase 2. The input and output wiring blocks were different colors - great aide to preventing miswire the volume control. 3. it works! What I didn't like 1. the wiring blocks once installed put the wires in towards the center of the volume control pressed up against the transformer creating a 90 degree angle to get the wires to clear the cut in mud ring. This puts strain on the wires to the wiring block, as well as strain on the wiring block to the mounting pins. 2. the exposed circuit board. this is potentially a serious issue if your installing in a commercial environment that have metal mud rings. Definitely not cool What I'm on the fence about The quality of the electronics is good, the nob and potentiometer doesn't feel like quality. But then again these aren't Niles or Russound and come in a 1/4 of the price. You get what you pay for.

Excellent and worth the wait of delivery time for the black version. Works very well with my system and the impedance adjustment is simple.

I read the comments on this item and my only concern at purchase was the possibility the white cover and facing was not truly "white". Not a problem. If it was at some point, the manufacturer has addressed it. The white facing is spot on. The unit had the wiring connections well marked and installation was easy. I bought this unit as a test and I'm now going to buy two more.

My old controls had yellowed and were crackling when turned so I bought these as replacements. Very happy with the decora style and the soft touch when turning the controls. Quality seems excellent. I would buy again.

This volume control works great!. The instructions are clear regarding how to connect the wires. If your wires are lableled... you can install the volume control in just a few minutes.

I bought this in order to be able to control speakers within a pool cabana. With the outside speakers set at appropriate listening level, the speakers inside the cabana were way too loud! This does a great job of allowing me to dial down the volume inside without killing the volume for people around the pool. As other reviewers have indicated, a standard electrical box is not going to be your friend. I bought a standard width box but went with the 3" depth and it made all the difference for me. I punched out the circular, washer looking things (Sorry I don't know what they are called) on both the top and bottom and was able to run the input wires (from the amplifier) in through the bottom holes and the output wires (to the speakers) through the top holes. This left me enough room within the box. I had no issue with 14 gauge speaker wire but I found the secret is to keep the amount of speaker wire exposed to the absolute minimum. The wire slid in nicely and the screw tightened them up firmly. It does a great job but I only gave it 4 stars because of the finickiness of installation and the need for the larger box.
