Maybe you can find a gray market battery for a few dollars more. In my opinion, it's not worth it. Sony batteries are very high quality and work perfectly with my Sony cameras. This battery charges fast, holds a charge for a long time, and runs cool. Buy quality. Buy OEM. Highly recommended.

I picked this item for OEM Quality over potential junk! Over the years I have found never to trust cheap alternatives to OEM quality batteries for your expensive equipment if you have a choice. While OEM may cost more, it is worth it as not to have a battery leak, a battery explode or otherwise cause issues - while they are examples of extreme issues.. the most common are batteries that do not hold a charge long and/or under heavy load cannot maintain voltage stability. I can understand that people are willing to try alternative options since Sony has begun manufacturing batteries in China and perhaps it is only a matter of time before cheap alternative are actual copies of the Sony product however I am not going to take the chance on my equipment any time soon. I am sure this issue is subject to many opinions and views, all i can say is that I have had very bad results in the past when trying cheap alternatives whereas I ruined good equipment so all i have to say is caveat emptor!

Battery life pretty good have high end sony uhd camera so didnt want knock off that might damage it...but these should be 20 dollars sony makes their batteries easy too expensive

This is the one you want! I bought a couple of off brand batteries that look just like this but literally last 15 mins on a full charge. I ponied up and bought this one, and it lasts just as long as the one that came with my camera. Worth it!

I ordered one of these and the charger for it when I ordered my Sony AX43A Handycam. These batteries last for 2.5 hours for me so I ordered one more to fit my recording time needs. I am very happy that I can switch to a fresh battery in a few seconds. I have been using these batteries daily for a few weeks now and I am pleased with their performance.

All these years of filming I figured out always buy the name brand battery, it costs a little more but the only ones I have used without needing to through away are the name brand ones, in the long run it pays to buy the better unit.

I needed a larger battery for my camera

Dont waste your time with other batteries the Sony original is the only one that seems to have the most life and charges fully other seem to only charge 60%
