Easy to apply. Good thickness. Clear but not invisible. Don’t seem to damage our leather furniture The edges do catch and lift over time. Cat doesn’t like them and doesn’t scratch where they are!!!! So they do work

2 year update: these went through two hurricaines in Florida with no power and 99% humidity just fine. They are still adhered. The cat gave up tried new spots, used more protectors. Still have some left over. This is a great kit! My cat prefers vertical scratching and despite having 5000 scratchers, toys and interactive climbers he still goes for the tops of cabinets and carpets. Solved the carpet problem by ripping it all out and putting down wood, only to discover he will tear up wood just the same if it's in the right place. As you can see from my photos, there's scratch damage UNDER the guards. It's basically super thick packing tape. Like super duper thick, old phone screen protector type thick. It's semi rigid so it doesn't stick to itself, but that does mean it doesn't really conform to funny carved surfaces terribly well. I can imagine a few places this wouldn't stick. The entire kit has some cute stickers for humans, a cute "human gift" and 4 sheets of protectors. There's also securement stickers for extra adhesive, a test patch big enough to be it's own protector and large, well printed instructions on the package. I was able to use 1 protector to do 4 cabinets in my older summer lake home. My cat has scratched at them twice and they have not come off, he's a big long haired mix with some ferocious claws, so it's durable. It's August 8 and I'll come back in September to update if they have remained stuck or not. The instructions to remove suggest a hair dryer, which did work well with the provided "test patch" which is big enough to be another protector quite frankly. I am mildly concerned about the heat and humidity of my area affecting the adhesive, only time will tell. These came in less than 48 hours which is unusual even for Amazon in my area- rural Florida. Very easy to apply, cut and press. Or peel press and cut. I'm sure if you're more precise and have a scalpel you could cut these to fit pretty much anywhere, very precisely. Update 1: August 30- just made it through the hurricaine. Lost power for a bit and it got hot and humid inside, the protectors did not budge. My cat has tried to scratch a few times and frankly appears to have given up and gone back to his scratchers. My baby also likes to sleep under the bathroom sink in the cabinet, he was messing up the door trying to get it open to hide or sleep. So far that piece of protector has held up to about 500 cat scratches/door openings. I do not clip my cats nails he won't allow that, he's got razor blades. Still pretty impressed with this stuff.

Heavy enough so it is EASY TO APPLY,sticks well and is not unsightly,decent price,will buy more.

Cat has been completely disinterested in my chair as a scratching post since it was applied. Working well.
