I got a couple of these to add to my home automation system. They connect easily to Hubitat. I set them up and tested notifications I built using Hubitat and everything works fine. They are easy to setup and you just put them on the floor around anything you suspect could spring a leak. My only problem with them is that they have an audible alarm that I have no use for, and there is no way that I found in the software to turn it off. It was an easy fix though. I was able to access the speaker wires and snip them. I will be buying more for other spots around the house.

Excellent water leak sensors for anyone using Smartthings! I have almost 10 of these throughout my home in every spot that could leak water and cause issues. The best part about these are that they emit a loud alarm if water is detected, so if you're away from your phone and at home than you'll know there is a problem immediately. I will continue to use this brand until I find something that has more features. I DO wish they had temperature sensors inside of them like others I used to use, but maybe they'll add them in the future. These have actually saved me twice so far, so well worth the money! Try and get them in sales, cause the regular price is a tad high in my opinion.

I have these hooked up to my Smart things system. The synched up flawlessly. I have a couple up in my attic because we have an on/off roof leak. They have notified me a few times of a leak, but the trouble is there is no way to silence them through the app. So every time they go off I have to climb into attic to dry them off. A override feature on the app would be perfect.

Works with wink! Easy to set up with Wink Hub as a generic Zigbee sensor. Wink thinks it is a door sensor though. But the sensor still works with the application and Robot commands ( i.e closing the water main with z wave or zigbee device)

You probably shouldn't trust your smart home technology to alert you of a leak. These sensors tell your smart home but also make noise. I doubt these are actually 120 dB. They're not as loud as my smoke alarms, for instance. The use standard AAA batteries and with the most recent firmware they report battery health twice a day so you can have confidence they're working. The waterdrop shape of the unit hopefully gives people wonder what this device is screaming about. Downsides are that they're bigger than other sensors and they are not waterproof. You can choose to install two extra metal sensors for extra sensitivity or not. If you install both, they can bend and touch each other giving false alamrs if jostled.

Poor design. A major annoyance it the lack of an external reset. You have to take it apart to get to the switch and batteries. That's 3 screws that also attach the external metal sensor which is easily damaged or bent. I have 8 of these around the house. The sensors fall offline easily. I have a significant zigbee network with well spaced repeaters. Still have intermittent issues.I have dozens of these buttons. The buttons fall offline constantly and lose button programing. I have a significant zigbee network with well spaced repeaters. Still have intermittent issues. I have probably close to 100 Thirdreality devices across 2 homes running on Smartthings / Aeotec hubs. In general all my Thirdreality Zigbee devices are flaky and I would not buy them again.

These things are fantastic. They'll work without any hub, meaning you can put batteries in them and they WILL beep when they detect water. BUT, once synced with a zigbee hub, you can keep track of the battery level and get alerts when water is detected! They work really well and I have 6 of them throughout my home.

Great value, and works perfect with Samsung SmartThings hub. Installed near sump two weeks ago, heard alarm and notice on my phone last night that water was detected. I went down to the basement to find water just cresting the sump pit and my sump pump barely working. A trip to local hardware store to pick up an emergency pump and a new sump pump and had it installed quickly. If you are thinking about getting these, just do it. I wasn’t really interested in the audible alarm but it was the first thing I noticed before looking at phone notifications.
