VERY SMALL BOTTLE OF VARNISH REMOVER FOR THE MONEY!
VERY small bottle for the money! And, it requires a LOT to actually seem like it's doing anything. I'm really surprised at Winsor & Newton. This is the first of their products I was displeased with over the years. I used well over half of the bottle on a small 12 x 12 encaustic painting and it never did really remove the year old yellowed acrylic varnish. It MIGHT have loosened it a tad, but I finally had to resort to scraping it all off. Now I'm sorry I bought two bottles of this stuff at nearly $12 a bottle! It was like water.

Did not work on Liquitex varnish
This didn’t work at all to remove a varnish layer. It actually made it worse giving it a high gloss effect. I do not recommend. Onto mineral spirits ….

Decapante ideal para eliminar las capas de barniz en Antiguas pinturas al oleo
Es una quita Barniz super efectivo. Es ideal para restaurar pinturas muy antiguas, y poder quitarles las capas de barniz. El oleo, al tener mas de 50 años, está tan duro que no le afecta este decapante, sin embargo, el barniz antiguo se empieza a escamar, y con una pequeña espátula, vas levantando poco a poco esas capas de barniz. En definitiva: IDEAL PARA ELIMINAR CAPAS DE BARNIZ en Antiguos oleos.

Taugt nix !
Hab das Mittel ausprobiert. Dieses Mittel schafft es nicht, den alten Firnis von meinem Ölgemälde zu entfernen. Selbst der Ansatz mit diesem Mittel den alten Firnis zu entfernen ist schon gescheitert. Meine Meinung kurz und bündig lautet: " Taugt nix " !
