Govee have done it again. I've got a number of the LED strips from govee which all work great. I was looking for a minimalist floor lamp with smart features and came across this. It was really easy to put together and feels sturdy and strong. Pairing with the app was easy (like all Govee products i have). It's got loads of features from being able to chage the colour of the lights to having the lights animate like scrolling. The light is bright but can also be dimmed to given even more of a mood lighting effect. It's not cheap but I do think it's worth the money for the build quality and all the features it has.

You know from the moment you open the box that this Govee light is a quality product. I’ve seen a fair amount of negative feedback regarding how difficult it is to put together. Yes, you need patience - take your time, read the instructions and it’s very easy and once done, it looks absolutely stunning. Everything you need is included, even a suitable screwdriver (nice touch) Once assembled, connecting it to the Govee Home app is a challenge. I struggled for ages to connect it using the app on my iPad, without success. Once I tried it on my iPhone, it connected instantly! It’s a pfaff! You have to connect via Bluetooth, then connect via wi-fi. Why?? I have many, many other Smart strip lights and they can all be controlled by Smartlife (Tuya) I don’t get why I have to have yet another app. and mess about like this. Once connected in Govee Home app. linking it to my Alexa app was very simple and the light can then be controlled by Alexa. This includes, colour, brightness %age, and on/off. If you want more advanced capabilities, you have to use the Govee Home app. Subject to my comments on connecting to my Smart Home (which was frustrating, but not worth deducting a star) I thoroughly recommend this gorgeous light. I actually have 2 standing either side of my TV in the living room, pointing toward the wall, where they give a lovely colour wash to my white wall. They’re expensive, but when you see the quality, you understand why.

This is a great light if you are looking for a sleek and minimal astatic. it works well with the Govee App and there are a lot of options including DIY customisations if you are into building your own effects. A lot of the effects seem like they are just there for the sake of being there but that's not a bad thing and doesn't affect the function of the light. The light has addressable LED's which can each be a different colour, making it look better than the cheaper lights. The build quality is good for the price, it's made of metal/aluminium, it also comes with the screws and a driver to assemble it. The power cable is long enough, but you might need an extension lead depending on the area you're planning on placing it. I would recommend pointing it into the wall/corner to prevent seeing the individual LED's and it will also help diffuse the light and bounce it around the room more. The lighting effects are cool, and useful, but the only downside is that they are a bit jumpy. You can see in the video attached that they aren't as smooth as the more expensive options. Personally this is not a deal breaker, for the Quality and price of the light. 9/10 would recommend!

Govee RGBIC Corner Lamp: A Must-Have Mood Booster ​I decided to finally jump on the smart lighting bandwagon, and this Govee Corner Floor Lamp has totally exceeded my expectations. I was looking for something that could add some serious ambiance to my living room without taking up a ton of space, and this black, sleek column is perfect for tucking right into a corner. Honestly, assembly was a breeze—it took me maybe five minutes to screw the sections together and plug it in. ​The real magic here is the RGBIC technology. This isn't your grandma's old color-changing bulb that just flips from red to blue. Because of the RGBIC individual control, you get these incredibly smooth and detailed gradients and patterns. The light moves fluidly, creating effects that genuinely look premium. ​The 61 Scene Modes sounded like overkill at first, but they’re actually fantastic. I have a few favorites, like the calming "Ocean" mode for reading and the vibrant "Christmas" mode (even when it’s not Christmas!) just to liven things up. Everything is controlled seamlessly through the Govee app, which is intuitive and easy to navigate—that’s where the "smart" part really shines. ​But the feature that makes this lamp a showstopper is the Music Sync. I use it when I have people over or when I'm just playing a playlist while cleaning, and it pulses and changes color right along with the beat. It’s a ridiculous amount of fun and turns a casual listening session into a mini light show. ​If you’re debating getting this, especially for a bedroom or living room where you want high-impact mood lighting, just do it. It’s far more subtle and sophisticated than strip lights, and the versatility of the scenes makes it useful for everything from movie night to a party atmosphere. My only minor note is that while it can cast a plain white light, it's definitely designed for colorful ambiance, not for lighting up a whole room for task work. But for mood? It’s unbeatable. ​Pros: ​Sleek, space-saving corner design. ​Incredible, flowing RGBIC color gradients. ​Intuitive app control and huge library of scene modes. ​Music Sync feature is surprisingly fun and responsive.

I would recommend Govee lights to anyone using Google Home. They are consistently good value and work really well, at least with what I want from it. Building the lamp itself was easy as the instructions were there and even came with the tools to screw everything together. The only tricky bit was fitting the cable into the base as I was worried it might break but it was fine after wiggling it around a little. The lamp itself looks sleek and modern, and most importantly, puts out an impressive amount of light. We wanted this to add some ambient light at night and it’s perfect. There’s a wide range of colours and patterns and pairs perfectly with Google if you want to turn them on/off, brighten/dim or change colour. It responds quickly to the command too and haven’t had any problems with it not connecting.

This is really stunning floor corner lamp. We have our in living room and as all Govee lights works like a dream. Loads of options in the app.

These lights are great! Bought the double pack and they provide enough light against walls to light up a room, without being too harsh. The added features are smart control, changing colours at your fingertips and that it can change colour according to music heard. The base isn't massive but does mean if you're looking to hide it under a sofa for example, this might not be possible. Finally, you have to assemble the lights but this is a case of adding a few screws and brackets to build the long tube. This is not difficult and a screwdriver is provided within the box. Does exactly what I want and does it well. Highly recommend this

I do love this item, its sleek looking and the different modes and brightness is amazing. We use it in the bedroom and the timer function is great. GOVEE in general are a great company and their app is easy to use. I would say to check the Govee app before purchase as I paid nearly £90 for this item and then after putting together I seen the newer version on sale on the Govee app for the same money which was a £50 saving at the time. But in general, love this item, well made, sturdy and sleek.

Although the overall build quality is more plastic than Hue lights, its decent enough not to feel too cheap. The quality of the light itself is good, and the overall function of the unit is good. The main issue I have with it is the Software, its not nearly as good as Philips Hue and that really hurts the experience.

Amazing at what this lamp is capable of a multitude of different features should keep you busy finding your favourite light settings. Very pleased with this purchase
