Great sealant kit

The kit itself is Excellent…has pretty much everything you’ll need so no complaints there… My only thing is that even though it comes with the instruction manual, I would prefer some more tutorial videos on the website or even YouTube to demonstrating the best methods for different surfaces, cause DIY dummies like me need more guidance. You definitely need the time and patience to follow every step to the T to get it right but good value for money once you do

Never have I seen a plastic applicator gun. I can't say I was very impressed with it. It works.... just. In the box you get 2 tubes of anti-mould sealant and a sealant remover. It also comes with a number of tools to help you remove old sealant and obtain a crisp finish on new sealant. The sealant works well, it comes out a nice consistency and is easy to work with. Really, the only think that lets this down is the applicator. Given the price of sealant without the gun, for £40 (at the time of writing) I thought the gun was the min appeal for this kit, and for that reason I am disappointed. I don't really think it's worth the money when it's not a very good gun to start with and is likely not to last more than a few times. Overall, i'd look elsewhere.

Does the job

I strictly followed the instructions and took great care to prepare the surfaces as instructed - only to see the bead lift at the edges a couple of hours after finishing the job! Now I need to get a professional plumber to do the job properly. Grrr! Nowhere near as easy to do as the instructions would have you believe.

A comprehensive kit to enable even beginners to remove old silicone sealant, clean and scrsoe the area then reapply with the fresh silicone enclosed (two tubes). I personally think kits like this are a great house warming gift for new home owners who are keen to have a go at DIY but are, a tad nervous. If written instructions aren't your thing then there's tons of 'how to' videos online for any novice to watch and learn how to use each tool. The kit, at £45, may seem excessive at first but if you add up each item separately it kind of balances out so if you don't have any of the items it's good. If however you already have some of the tools then it's false economy but I'm sure everyone can figure this out themselves.
