Best socks ever!

I am on a mission to find wide calf reinforced ball work sock. These are reinforced at the heel and toe which add comfort, they're breathable, they retain their shape and haven't shrunk. overall, pretty good quality but they are not wide calf socks so I will keep looking.

I wear my socks for about 15hrs a day and go though them frequently. So I need something not only durable but, breaths as well. I've had these for a couple mths now and so far they have been holding up well. They are durable and don't seem to be wearing or tearing from my boots. They are not to thick, so they allow my feet to breath a bit. Which is nice at the end of the day when I take my shoes off and my feet aren't sweaty and itchy. My only complaint is they are a bit tight. Not so tight that they are restrictive or painful, but just a bit tighter than I like. More of a personal preference My socks usually last about 3 - 4 mths, so we will see how the next couple mths go.

BLUF: I love these socks, so comfortable, feels so good on my feet, like a difference between a higher thread count on bed sheets, might not sound like a lot, but once you put them on, SO GOOD. So, in 2000, I got a pair of these socks and like anyone, oh well, Socks, I needed some so I guess I don't have to buy them. But man, from the first time I put them on they were amazing! Every time laundry time was done, I would use the 3 pairs I got from that Christmas first, for work, for walking, working out, or just hanging around the house. For the next few Christmases when my parents or wife would ask what I'd like, I would say those socks you got me, but they forgot which brand and type, so I never got them. Fast forward to a month ago, and I realized 2 of the pairs were starting to get a hole, I did a ton with them, so it wasn't a surprise, what was is that they lasted so long. Many of my other socks came and went multiple times. So, then the last couple weeks I was trying to figure out what brand these were, the only word I could see clearly was the word Force, but the rest was a bit worn. It wasn't until last week I put one on and the letters were much clearer and said Carhart, Really?!? So, I searched here, and found the exact ones I had. I ordered 6 packages, 2 of each color, work, play, and chilling. They came in yesterday and today I put one on, and that feeling like the first time came back. I know, it might sound like I'm exaggerating a bit, but man, for real, I've never written a review or cared about socks before, and I was in the military needing socks that would withstand what we did, but were SO thick, these are so much better and not as thick. Very happy, and thanks for reading if you read this all.

These things are tall and tight. I'm a stocky 5'11 and these socks go all the way to the bottom of my knees and the band at the top is tight. I thought they would cut off the circulation to may calves and feet! They don't. Unfortunately, No big checks coming from Carhart for me. But nevermind that, Holy Cow the whole darn sock is tight. Did you get my pun there? Anyways, They are not going to slide down I can tell you that! And If you have hairy legs, Me: Italian American, you know what I'm talking about. That feeling when all your leg hair is pushed the wrong way all day long? Yeah, these are those socks. The ones that never slide down but give you leg hair pain. I know, I know WTF is leg hair pain? But it's a thing for Dudes with hairy legs. Trust me. I'm 50 now and was called Ape in the Locker room from age 12. I know these things. So here it is. If you have scrawny long chicken legs. These socks are probably for you. If your a stocky 5'11, 220# Italian American I suggest you shy away from these puppies. Unless you enjoy the aforementioned Leg Hair Pain you fricking masochist. Otherwise maybe check out the under Armor ones. They were a win for me.

I don’t write many reviews. This is the 3rd batch of these socks I have bought in 7 years. I am one of those guys who wears the same stuff every day. I have a simple closet and simple life. But that also means I am serious as a heart attack about the QUALITY of the products I buy for daily use. These socks set the standard for me. So glad Carhartt still makes them. They wear like iron. I wear Ariat steel toe cowboy boots and these come all the way up my calf. I am 5’9” and 205#. I am farmer strong and have good sized calves. These are just the right “tightness” for me. If you have a Fat Leg then maybe keep looking. But I love love the level of compression these create. Exactly the right amount for 14 hour a day wear. Over time the heels wear out a little but that’s hard as hell to get to that point with these. They also never stink. I don’t have sweaty feet though but I do turn them inside out at night and wear them two days in a row. Sorry if you think that’s gross. But they do NOT smell day 2. If I was going on a thru hike backpacking hike I’d bring two pairs of these. That would be all you need for a couple thousand miles. When I first started wearing these several years ago my ankles would swell if I sat too long at a desk or on an airplane. I swear to God these socks fixed that. I’m a Fan Boy of these and kind find nothing to complain about and I’m sticking with them all the way. Just bought my latest batch Jan 2023 and they are like the old batches. They don’t change much thankfully!

Très déçu. Elles n'ont pas tenu 3 mois et sont désormais toutes trouées. J'aime pourtant habituellement beaucoup Carhartt mais sur ces chaussettes c'est le zéro pointé.
