This system exceeded what I thought it would be available. Older systems could only detect a water leak at one location and shut off a single close by valve. This system allows for multiple detectors (I have fourteen detectors throughout the house, garage and crawlspace) and shutting off the water to the whole house when a leak is sensed. The installation was uncomplicated. Installing the valve operator is the only item that requires a slight bit of DIY skill - a wrench and a screwdriver. The setup of the hub, downloading the app to a smartphone and adding/linking the sensors and valve controller was straightforward. One can monitor the entire system via the app. It is worth noting that the YoLink system is expandable to a range of other sensors/controllers - e.g. garage door controller, motion sensors, window/door sensors, temperature sensors and more. The build quality is quite good, and the size of the detectors and the hub are small enough to be nonintrusive.
