Easy to use and read the numbers

I don't know what they were thinking taking this from thier flagship tape. Its still the best regular tape measure made. SMALL hooks, NO magnets, tape measures peaked at this model right here, unless you use those things specifically for your job. This was, is, and most likely will be, the best overall general purpose. They used to have a warrantee, well that didn't work out so well and they should have known better. Wore out? Go to lowes, they don't care. Durable, NOT so bendy (the standout is alot better due to lack of weight on the end). Better than a homeowner needs, unless he's building a deck or remodeling. Its 40% off right now. Thats pretty good, this is a good price. Its a 20$ tape for sure.

This is a quality tape measure that does the job well. I'm remodeling in preparation for selling the house, and have been using this many times per day for weeks. I like it much better than the tape it replaced for two reasons: The metric markings are incredibly useful for precision work that does not require mental gymnastics converting 32nds of an inch, and the wider blade cantilevers out much further without support. I just finished using it to order cabinet doors and drawer fronts, which required high precision, and it worked great. Why just four stars? Two reasons. First, there is no reason they could not have printed additional measurement marks on the back like some rules do. This is a premium rule, at a premium price, so they had the budget, and other Stanley models have these markings on the back, usually rotated to make it easy to measure height or distance down from the ceiling. Second, my previous rule had a precisely calibrated case, exactly 2.5 inches long, which allowed me to jam the case into a corner and get an accurate measurement. This case is not marked, and it does not have the square back end required to use it that way. If I had noticed that before purchasing, I might have purchased another model. Virtually every tape measure I have ever seen, including many Stanley models, has these markings on the case!

Seriously I have never had a problem with anything from Stanley. Good quality,well made for the price. This tape is sturdy and has less bendability due to its width. So it holds up literally when measuring alone. Thats a keeper. Strong sprind action for retraction,with no hesitation. A good tape for sure.

Very easy to read because the tape itself is very wide and the type and markings are large

It's quite good, the only problems I had so far were that for some reason the front part scratched up right after the first use of like 20 seconds and the other problem is that it is very addictive to play with and I just can't stop using it because this mechanism is so satisfying! This also made me unable to sleep because it's so addictive.

Was quite happy to find a measuring tape with both metric and imperial measurements. I don't use it for heavy construction work so I don't know about how durable it is, however the tape stays stiff until a bit over 2m and I've dropped it several times onto concrete and you can't tell.
