is this the same as king size ?

Well, it is close to the LENGTH of a king size cigarette vs. a pack of 100s. These papers are about 79mm or 3 inches. A king size cigarette is 3 1/4 inches. These will roll a smoke 3 inches long. The 1 1/4, 1 1/2 etc. is the DEPTH of the paper, i.e. how many wraps around the cigarette it will make or how large a diameter of a cigarette you can roll. If you want to roll "fatties" you will probably want 1 1/2 or larger. Rolling with a machine makes nice standard cigarette sized cigarettes with as small amount of overlap as possible.The larger size papers like 1 1/2+ (the iconic JB 1.5s) are for folks who are hand rolling and need more paper to get it right, or acceptable. If you are a good hand roller and want a standard diameter smoke the 1 1/4 is what you need.Sorry for the lengthy answer.
