Great little unit - easy to set up
Great little UPS unit for those who want 'simplicity' in set up and operation and which provides more than enough time for a controlled shut down of your PC (or whatever). The well-packaged UPS unit received the day after ordering. The smart black UPS unit is well constructed (both inside and out) and not very heavy. Needs to sit on a hard floor or board or desk (not carpet). Just plug the UPS into the mains, press the button to get a green light and leave to charge for 4 hours. Then plug your computer/screen into the the 2 sockets on the back of the UPS and that's it, done! I tested the UPS by simulating a power cut and the UPS operated my PC/large screen for 15 minutes before rapid bleeping from the UPS indicated the battery was running out, so I reinstated the mains power. No problems with the UPS during switchover. Suggest downloading the full Users Manual from the web as the brief Quick Guide provided is too brief! Tried to register Guarantee on Technoware website but failed, but I'm not too bothered as it's well made.

Works straight out of the box.
I was a bit wary of buying this at first, because of the price, but it is surprisingly good. Using to power up a WeeDo - Tina 2 basic printer & accessories. When our power supply gets a bit blippy the printer spits it's dummy out, thus losing the whole print, also does this when plugging / unplugging something as mundane as a phone charger. It worked straight out of the box, is very compact, quiet and only slightly warm in use. I've even unplugged the unit whilst printing and the printer never missed a beat. Within the first hour of use it detected and prevented three transient voltages on the incoming mains, so very pleased with it. And the most important feature is it's value for money. Overall a good bit of kit.

No Power Cable, No Manual, Awful Software & Tech Support is in Italian
Should be plug and play, it wasn't. The first issue was that it does not come with a power cable?? Thankfully the APC UPS this is replacing fitted fine. On powering it up, the filtered outlets worked, but the battery ones did not. My Mac did recognised the UPS when the USB port was connected. When I tried registering the product to get support, it became clear this was an Italian product and the level of English language support was going to be poor. I managed to register ok and download the manual & software. The manual was ok, but did not address my problem in the trouble shooting section, or anywhere else that I could find. A QR code to the PDF would have been nice instead of making me search for it on the website. The software is truly awful - my USP wasn't working and it was unable to assist me in any trouble shooting. The software is called ViewPower, screenshot of the GUI attached.... I tried to raise a support ticket (RMA), they clearly haven't tested the forms with non-Italian speaking users. I managed to get through after a few tries, but each time there was an error, the pop-up window was in Italian. I use Deepl for translations, so all good I thought - well it was until the last three word error pop-up "Incongruneza tipoloigie garanzia". Deepl couldn't translate it and even ChatGPT returned "appears to be a combination of words that do not form a coherent sentence in Italian, English, or any other language that I'm aware of. It seems to be a jumble of unrelated terms."! So I couldn't raise a ticket for help. There was not telephone support alternative. The warranty is not 5 years, the battery is only 12 months unless you pay a premium to extend it. Also the display was annoyingly blurred for some reason. I wasted nearly 2 hours trying to install and troubleshoot this product, but thankfully Amazon made it easy to return.

Came with everything for UK, working well. Check the software & settings.
Mine came with a UK proper plug included. everything you need. Install the UPSilon sofware as per the separate sheet, (A) www at bottom of sheet. Change the settings to Megatec USB (mine was just on Megatec & did not work, sent me down a rabit hole, I should have noticed though). Not the TecnoManager, as UPSilon did not work, wrong setting, I immediately tried the other sofware & I was familar with similar, viewpower. this did not work. Got 24 hours response from Support telling me to use JUST the UPSilon software (will conflict if other installed) & use the Megatec USB connections. Seems to work fine, so far running an fairly average Dell i7, says 4% power. I did try plugging in a few other things, low power I thought, few switches but was on a multi plug so perhaps not happy with that but it beeped & shut down the power. Now I have the monitoring sofware will report back & carefully check but someone did mention it did not have the power suggested but I am pleased overall as such good value.

Great value with Home Assistant core integration!
Got this on a black Friday deal. Its incredible value for money. Using the supplied USB cable I have it plugged into my Home Assistant server. I am able to power my: Starlink system 5G Backup Router Deco X10 Mesh 6 Home assistant server (PC) NAS 2-Drive Server Backup Bulb (Which comes on automatically when power fails so we aren't sitting in the dark) All of these use around 10% of the load capacity! I should get over an hour! The design is simple. Only fault I have found so far is the driver it uses (blazer) to speak to HA doesn't have a beeper switch, so it beeps at intervals while active and this cannot be disarmed. Not the end of the world! Fits beautifully behind my couch. Completely silent. Polls HA about every 30 seconds though switch over is instant. Able to send text alerts to my phone with a little alarm when it activates. Great bit of kit. Thoroughly recommend for the price.

Cheap for a reason. Hardly usable in less than a year. Only 5 min backup now. UK socket outlets.
Like that this has UK socket outlets Bought for CCTV because I was fed up of it restarting several times a day with recent mini powercuts we have been having. Does the job, keeps things running for about an hour Fraction of the cost of an APC equivalent Fit and forget. no more cctv alarms when it reboots Dislikes: no instructions at all, and very cumbersome to find on t'internet, the Italian site is a complete mess and difficult to find anything. Would have been higher review apart from lack of manual or a link to download it from directly. Even searching for model number on the site proved fruitless, I had to guess the name of the download in the end once I'd managed to negotiate my way to the download section from another product. Very poor. Update some months after purchase. Not very pleased at all with the operation of this. Sure it switches from main to battery backup in the event of a power failure but the battery only lasts about 5 minutes now rather than 45 when new. I would not recommend or buy again, I will go back to APC most likely. May try a new decent quality battery as a replacement to see if that helps, but as it stands it is hardly good enough for the intended purpose, and worn out in just a short few months.

Ideal for my needs
So good that I bought another. We have power cuts way too frequently here, & to be blunt I got so fed up resetting the router (which was 5g mobile) after every darn power cut. So I bought one to keep me online during those power cuts - well my lappy is good for half a day, so I thought I’d give it a go. And it does the job perfectly. No interruptions to my internet access whatdoever when I get a power cut, and zero in the way of problems. Well apart from the incessant loud beeping when it’s running in battery mode being a budget UPS, but I can live with that. It has lasted me two hours at least, though how long it lasts you will obviously depend upon what you are using & how much you’re using it. When full fibre came I bought another, to give me as long a usage time as possible: one for the router and one for the fibre box. Yes, I could have plugged both into the one UPS very easily - but I wanted to extend non-mains power as long as reasonably practical and at this price it seems worth it. If your needs are simple like mine, these are a really good choice to keep you going when the mains power goes off.

Fine for the price
Works fine for the price. Only low capacity, and copes with minimal surge - PC only, but not with laser printer. Only wanted to cover ‘brown out’ when my solar/batteries kick in.
