Can 3 modules be wired to the same single activation button?

sure would be wired in series to activate modules. but then you would have 3 tunes playing. might be fun if you different instruments on each one

If I replace the button with an on/off switch, can it constantly loop?

You can replace the button with a switch. I replaced it with a relay. But it will only play one song each time you flip the switch.

What type of USB plug is it ?

Why does recording that comes w/ it play at audible level, -my recording is barely a whisper even though sound was set to maximum level?

The reason for it is that your MP3 file(s) do have very low sound volume levels and there is a easy solution for it. It is also given in the instructions included in the package. It is instruction step#4. You do need to go websites like mp3louder.com to increase the sound volume level of your file. You can use any other similar website. Please just google "how to increase sound volume of MP3 file"
