Review: Excellent, rock solid bracket - If you mount this correctly, this is sturdy enough for a 2 meter antenna in a 120 mph wind. It's 11 gage steel which is .105" or just under an 1/8 of an inch which is perfectly adequate for this application. You do have to mount it correctly and use serious, larger, American made fasteners if you really want to do a lifetime quality installation. I did not have to bend anything, everything fit reasonably well. I replaced the fasteners with 1/4-20 stainless steel bolts and added flat washers. Lock washers don't do anything on sheet metal parts like this and will make it more likely to loosen up, not less. I replaced the wall lags with 5/16" x 3-1/2" long stainless steel lag bolts. I did not want to bend the legs and the center to center distance is 10-1/2" so I used a couple 2 x 6 pieces between the studs inside to get a good lockup with the lags. You can't expect these things to come with oversize, top quality bolts and lags so for the price, I think these are a great buy. Not going to try of course but I'm pretty sure I could stand on the 3 leg bracket, that's how solid it is. Only con is these are not deburred very well. They have very sharp edges in places and little micro slivers of steel all over, use gloves, preferably leather gloves! There are no instructions but it's three pieces, I think you can figure it out.
Review: Easy "fix" for uneven feet - I saw a number of reviews that mention having to bend the brackets so the feet on the 3-legged bracket sits level on the wall. I found that installing the 3rd leg in the bottom hole, and adding (2) 5/16" washers between the two halves of the bracket at the top hole makes it sit ALMOST perfectly. The problem other mention is caused by the addition of the third leg between the two halves of the bracket. I imagine that if it is installed on the outside of the two halves, there would not be a problem. I wanted to install between for added strength in both directions. The brackets are strong. The 1/4-20 bolts are standard cheap grade "0" hardware. A 7/16" socket or end wrench fits these. The lag bolts, as also mentioned in others' reviews, are cheap too. I intend to drill very small pilot holes to prevent bolt heads from snapping off, and using a 3/8" socket to drive these into the studs. I am using 1/4" lock washers under the lag bolts (overkill) and the nuts of all of the 1/4-20 nuts to ensure they do loosen. All in all, great brackets for their cost!

**Q: Would this mount be adequate for 20lb antenna mounted on a 1-2' mast?  I'm concerned this mount isn't robust enough.**
A: If you are able to get the mounting bolts into studs, I would say this would definitely hold a 20 lb antenna on a 1-2 foot mast.

**Q: What is the largest pole diameter the bracket will hold?**
A: I installed a 2" pole today with an outer diameter of 2.36" and I had to bend the bracket inward to accomidate the "U" bracket.

**Q: what gauge is the steel of the brackets?  12 Gauge or 14 gauge or something else?**
A: Exact gauge doesn’t matter. These brackets are strong. I used them on a 25 foot steel telescopic pole for a TV antenna with a 4ft Ham antenna on the top bracketed at 5 and 20 foot to my house without needing any guide wires.

**Q: What is the 1 single sized screw for?**
A: Drill a hole for that screw in your mast thru the hole in the u-bolt mount. This will prevent the mast from turning in the wind, etc.
