I use my PC primarily for gaming and store all of my files on a 2tb Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive. This means that while I had a lot of space for games it was slow. I heard about Intel Optane through a popular YouTube named Jackfrags, much love to him please Intel treat this man well, and decided to give it a shot as it is significantly cheaper than a new SSD. It took all of 20 minutes to install in my ASUS Motherboard and works flawlessly. For me personally boot times for large files were about a third of the time. If you have an ASUS Motherboard go online and ASUS has a guide on which motherboards will work with it and how to set it up. If you use old style hard drives this is a fabulous replacement to getting a new $200 SSD.
