Does anyone else's black rosewood smell like....laundry detergent? I'm not kidding....

Mine smells like soap as well and it's very strong and nauseating. I love the smell of sandalwood but this does not smell like sandalwood. Tried to wash it and am now airing it out.

Is it possible to get rid of the smell?
