We do not recommend doing this, fearing they will melt. Rice dispenser is more suitable for dry grains. **Q: What is the difference from 1 and 2** A: Not much difference. Series 1- 3.12lbs and dimensions not too much bigger than series 2. Series 2- 3.16lbs and dimensions s little smaller.
