The model will be part of a collection to demonstrate a time period in one of America’s most controversial wars. The decals are authentic and from what I’ve seen from opening the box and looking at the (sprue tech tree) of parts along with illustrated guides you can’t beat it. On a note: This is one of the planes that contributes to this day in some variant to various national Air Force Branches globally. Scale is not “toyish” for a 1/72. It’s actually decent. As for building, I haven’t gotten there yet. Just arrived this afternoon but so far in my mind if I have to put in a little extra here and there I will. As long as it will work out.

I was hoping for better from Hasegawa on this one. I used it for practice on scribing panel lines (most were raised on this one). The decals were pretty thick which made blending into the finish impossible. The details in the wheel wells was non-existent, and while most everything fit together well, there were the typical lines (seams) that required putty and sanding (if you’re so inclined for perfection). It was a good value for the money though, and if you love the F-4 it’s not a bad kit.
