Review: My Favorite DIY Plant Spray Combo — Simple and Effective! 🌱 - I bought peppermint Castile soap, isopropyl alcohol, and neem oil to make my own plant care spray, and it’s been fantastic! The mix helps clean the leaves while keeping bugs and pests away. I use it as a preventative on all my houseplants, and it’s worked beautifully so far. The peppermint Castile soap gives it a fresh, clean scent and helps the mixture stick to leaves. The alcohol helps kill any lingering pests, and the neem oil keeps them from coming back. Together, they’re a gentle, natural, and affordable way to keep plants healthy and shiny. ✅ Why I love this combo: • Cleans leaves and removes dust • Keeps pests like gnats and mites away • Smells fresh (way better than straight neem!) • Easy to make and safe for indoor plants • Works great as a regular preventative spray A plant parent essential — easy, effective, and totally worth it! 🌿💚 Review: For Garden, But I Used Product for a Bug Bite, Harris Neem Oil Can Be Used for a Variety of Issues. - Originally I bought this oil for my garden, but haven't used it for that at this time. One afternoon I got bit by a bug while outside in the backyard. I'm not sure what kind of bug. My hand was red, swelling, very itchy around a small bump. Instead of slathering the reg. bug bite concoction on the area, I decided to put the Neem oil on that night. Sometimes I overlook the other qualities of a product, such as smell, if it does what it says it does. This oil has a earthy smell to it. "I can tell you it worked!" It relieved and soothed the itchiness, swelling and redness in a short time. Two days later, you can barely see that I had a bug bite. When I was applying Neem oil to my bite area that night I noticed how dry my cuticles were so I rubbed some on my cuticles. My cuticles soaked it right up and they are not dry anymore. The next night, I decided I was going to forgo my usual night time oil and just use Neem oil after I washed my face. I've had some issues with "adult" acne that is finally clearing up by using Neem oil. It is good for the skin. I even add it to my shampoo. I mix some drops with my reg. mix of tea tree oil and/or peppermint oil in with my shampoo for scalp and hair care. I am amazed with this product. I haven't used Harris Neem Oil before or any other brand as far as that goes. This is my first time using. I don't need to look for another brand, I'm happy with my purchase and I'm keeping Harris Neem Oil on my vanity table.

Hold your nose
Neem oil definitely isn’t winning any awards for fragrance, it smells like burning rubber tires, and the scent can cling to your skin even after washing, so I recommend avoiding direct contact. That being said, it works wonderfully as a natural pest treatment for plants. I use it in my homemade remedy, and just a small amount goes a long way, so this bottle will last quite a while. Out of all the options I found, this felt like the most natural and effective solution. Overall, it’s worth the price for the results and longevity.

Good quality Neem oil
I used this Neem oil to make Sexy Plant Juice (2 c water, 2 T neem oil, 1 T peppermint castile soap, 1 tsp isopropyl alcohol and then shake the bottle) to clean my plant leaves and deter pests. I suggest using a continuous spray bottle to save your hand from squeezing the trigger so much. Simply spray both sides of the leaves and use a microfiber glove or cloth to wipe them clean. My leaves are clean, pest free, and shiny! Good quality Neem oil for the price. Be careful not to use too much as it will prevent the leaves from photosynthesizing.

Worked great for spider mites + made my plants look amazing
I used this Harris neem oil when I had a spider mite breakout on my plants, and it worked really well. I applied it by wiping down all the leaves, making sure to get both the tops and undersides. Since using it, I haven’t spotted any mites at all, which was a huge relief. As a bonus, it actually made my plant leaves look really healthy and glossy—not just treated, but noticeably better overall. Pros: * Effective for spider mites * Easy to apply * Helps restore the look of plant leaves * Multi-purpose (insecticide, miticide, fungicide) Cons: * Strong smell (typical for neem oil, but worth noting) Pro Tip: Wipe down both sides of the leaves and repeat as needed—consistency seems to make a big difference with pests like spider mites. If you’re dealing with mites or just want something to help maintain plant health naturally, this is definitely worth having on hand.
