Innovera Gel Mouse Pad with Wrist Rest, Nonskid Base, 9 X 7.5 - Inches Black (51450)

This gel mouse pad is almost twice as large as my last one, and I really like it. I didn't even realize just how small my other mouse pad was until this one arrived. My old pad was getting pretty grimy after daily use for about 4 years. I did a quick search and found this was rated as the highest rated gel mouse pad on Amazon. I didn't even read further. I just ordered and figured it would be at least adequate with such a high rating. As it turns out it's even better than I had hoped for. The large size means the mouse is able to stay on the pad, rather than needing to be lifted off the pad to readjust to scroll again from the other side of the pad. The gel part your wrist sits on is very plump and wide, so there's lots of room to rest your hand/wrist. I ordered it in the black color and it's quite professional looking. The gel pad is opaque, so it doesn't have the clear gel look. At a glance, it has the same look as smooth black leather. So it will go well with black leather office chairs and such. The bottom of the pad grips the desk well, and the pad's surface works with each of the mice I have used with it. It's basically the perfect mouse pad. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if I need it. There's a reason this pad is so highly rated. Everything about it is just right.

I've been using this pad since August 2013, and it made a huge impression since day one. I do a lot of design work (and gaming) and use the mouse intensively, so any kind of pain interferes with work flow. When I started noticing wrist/elbow/shoulder aches after long (or even short) hours on the computer, I bought this pad based on other reviews. I was not disappointed. PROS: Gel Pad: - Firm yet soft, sleek, and super comfortable to rest your wrist on, even with a bit of pressure. - The pad itself is curved up toward the outer ends, so you can easily get different levels of height/support if needed. - Stays in place during heavy usage and fast mouse movements (good for gaming). - Does not get hot or sticky from wrist movement. A bit warm, but that's expected. - Does not feel like it would break or wear out easily (unless you or your kids have a compulsion for poking holes into things). - Very easy to clean/wipe down. Mouse Pad Surface: - Smooth, with just the right amount of texture/friction. - Zero "jumping cursor" issues from pad reflection (I use a standard optical mouse). - Good amount of room for arcing back and forth. CONS: - The very edges of the textured part of the pad are a dust magnet. Not terribly, but it's enough to be noticeable. Nothing that can't be remedied with a Lysol wipe. Totally not a deal-breaker for me. NOTES: - Despite listed dimensions, the actual designated mouse area is just under 8" at the widest point, and just under 7" from top to front base of gel pad. Keep that in mind if you have bigger hands, a ginormous monitor, or just flail the mouse around a lot. I can honestly say that using this pad has relieved ALL of the nearly-carpal-tunnel pain I was experiencing previously. I can click to my heart's content all day now and not experience any tension, soreness, or strain. Wrist angle means everything!

I really like this mouse pad. It replaces a "new" Fellows mouse pad that had a horribly hard wrist rest. This Innovera pad as a soft sqishy contoured wrist pad, and a flat rounded mouse area. The mouse pad surface is a roughened hard plastic surface and my optical mouse seems to work fine with it. Since my hand is held up (suspended above) by the wrist pad, my hand doesn't actually contact this roughened hard plastic surface. So it isn't an ergo problem. The wrist pad is a gel-like material with a slick black leatherette-like material covering it. There is a recess between two bulges (left/right) so my wrist naturally settles into the center position. And the wrist bone naturally sits on one of these bulges. The back of the pad is smooth on the back. It isn't sticky, but it does stay put on the desk. My only complaint with this bad is that it is large. The dimensions listed here on Amazon are indeed correct (8.25" x 9.675") and corresponds to the widest part of the pad. Note that the region near the wrist-pad is only 6.75" wide. So it does sit nicely at an angle on my desk; angled so that my arm/wrist is at the correct angle. I gave it 5 stars, and I am happy with this unit. I just wish that Innovera offered a tad smaller pad. Scott PS the "old" Fellows mouse pad w/ wrist pad was great and I still like it and use it daily. But somewhere along the way Fellows replaced the "old" soft squishy gel wrist pad with a "new" hard non-squishy wrist pad but kept the same model description. Absolutely horrible.

There's a lot of mouse pad reviews related to carpal tunnel, but there isn't much out there for its cousin cubital tunnel. I have cubital tunnel and have to be on the computer for most of the day, so I've been looking for a mouse pad to help cushion my wrist. I was really excited when the Innovera Gel mouse pad came. It looks beautiful. The actual mouse pad works great with my laser mouse. The textured surface doesn't make the mouse drag nor does is it too slippery. It is the best mouse pad surface I have ever encountered. The weight is nice and the back is sticky so the pad won't move when you use it. Okay, now the bad. When the product arrived, I touched the wrist pad with my fingers and was surprised at how stiff it was. I tried to squish it down and I had to press fairly hard to make a significant squish. I tried it out as I normally would use a mouse pad (at my desk, with a mouse, etc.), and it was so uncomfortable. There is no give at all. The gel doesn't conform to the wrist. It feels almost like the wooden wrist rest that came with my desk but smoother. After a few seconds, the painful pressure it put on my wrist began to make my fingers numb and my wrist ache, aggravating my cubital tunnel. I tried to position my wrist into a more comfortable position, but there were none. The rest just won't sink or dip or dent or dimple at all when you put your wrist on it for normal use. It's more uncomfortable than no wrist pad at all and about as comfortable as wood. I would have given this product one star but I gave it two because I can see how someone might enjoy the incredibly stiff support this pad provides. I was really excited for this product but I have to return it. The shipping costs half of what the mouse pad cost, so I guess I'm taking one for the cubital tunnel team. EDIT: I've decided to keep the darn thing! Because... honestly, other mouse pad surfaces do not even compare. I really, really like the surface of this mouse pad. It's so nice. It's... divine, really. I've just flipped the mouse pad upside down to keep the stupid wrist pad out of the way :). I wish I could find a mouse pad with this surface without the pad... but I can't! Innovera doesn't even make one (checked their site). So... yeah, if me keeping a partially useless mouse pad around is any indicator of how good it is, then you have an idea of just how nice the surface of this pad is. So, so nice. But note that this mouse pad stinks. At first, I only noticed the smell when I was fairly close to it at my desk and it didn't bother me during normal use. But then I started traveling with it in my bag and the smell is obvious and offensive. I can smell it when I have my backpack by me and especially on the bag itself when I open the zipper. It smells like chocolate and wet towels and like something bitter. It makes me purse my lips and stop breathing through my nose. Smells narsty.

I purchase this on Amazon back in 2011 and I love it. I have use it everyday for about 6-8 hrs a day and it lasted me for 5 whole yeas until it develop a crack on the gel surface pad. It was time for a replacement and I bought the Kensington Duo Gel mouse pad, it only lasted me 2 weeks and I returned it back to Amazon. This time around, I purchase the Innovera Gel Mouse pad and the Innovera Gel Keyboard pad from WalMart because there is a better deal when you order the set together. I love the Innovera gel mouse pad. It has a nice smooth finish on the gel pad and there is a slight dip, so that your wrist can rest in the area. Because of the smooth finish surface, it's very easy to slide your wrist from left to right. The gel is soft but also keeps the support on your wrist. There is a sticky backing on the mouse pad that really sticks to your desk. If your mouse pad gets dirty, just wash it off and it's new again. The most important part is that my Logitch G602 & MX mouses works perfectly with this mouse pad, there is no skipping.

This product is close to perfect, and I want to love it. But, as with my second wife, Giselda, I can't overlook its flaws. The good: The wrist rest portion is cool, smooth, and supportive. The size is spot on for my needs. I use and love the complementary Innovera keyboard wrist rest. The bad: The mouse pad portion of this product has one recurring and fatal flaw: It always develops a bubble right in the middle where the mouse goes. I bought one of these in 2015 and replaced it with another just like it after the first bubbled up. As with marriage, I thought I was just unlucky the first time around. Then the second one I bought (mouse pad, not wife) experienced the exact same bubbling after only 5 months. It is a small pad, which means I am constantly awkwardly moving my mouse over this damn bubble. It's like trying to navigate your mouse over a potato. Totally ridiculous. It may not be clear in the pictures, but, trust me, the bubble is there and it is annoying. This is a flat, motionless piece of equipment. It should be able to last a lifetime. Instead, it takes cues from Violet Beauregarde in Charlie and Chocolate Factory and inflates into this ghastly deformity that the world would be better off without. You will rue the day you meet Giselda, Violet, or this Innovera mouse pad. At least someone has warned you about the mouse pad.

Well, there's not much to say. It does exactly what it's supposed to. It provides solid wrist support and works well with my mouse. The wrist rest is firm and doesn't seem like it will wear down over time. The back has a slightly sticky rubbery material that makes it so it doesn't slide across your desk. But it's not sticky enough that hair gets caught in it or that it leaves a residue. It just keeps it from moving. Anything that happens to stay on it is easily wiped off without ruining the back. Also, this creates a slight smell straight out of the box, but it quickly disappeared for me within a day or two. If I have a single complaint, it's that the wrist rest is a little big. Sometimes I use desks that are a little higher, and on these my hand ends up at a weird angle. But when this happens I just turn the mouse pad around backwards and use it without the wrist rest. I know 13 bucks is a lot to pay for something that just sits there, but I wanted to get a nice mouse pad that wouldn't get ruined, as I transfer it in a bag a lot between home and work. I didn't want a $2 one that would fall apart in a week. In this, it succeeded. Well worth the money.

The main feature of this mouse pad is clearly the wrist rest. A lot of work was put into making it firm, yet nice on the wrist. I was experiencing severe wrist pain and upgraded my whole setup - getting an ergonomic keyboard, mouse and this mouse pad. My wrist feels great on the rest, and it's the proper size and height for that kind of thing. I work for up to eight hours at a time on the computer with one break in between, and my wrist is consistently on the rest. It has definitely helped. As noted, the pad is a little small. That's all up-front, so I bought it knowing as much, but it would be nice if there was a bigger one with the same quality of a wrist rest. The non-skid base works really well and I have to lift the pad up to re-position it, which is how it should be. Other notes: I do prefer a more fibrous material for the actual pad and I don't like the sound it makes with my optical mouse gliding over it, but that's not really a complaint about the pad so much as it is a personal note. Would recommend.

Esse mouse pad é sensacional. Já tive um por anos, mas acabou estragando por descuido meu. O descanso de pulso é bem confortável e não irrita a pele. O tracking do mouse é bem preciso e ajuda bem na utilização do mouse. Por fim, ele fica bem fixo à superfície.

Perfect. Has changed the way I work. Easy on the wrist and elbows, and therefore fingers. I got one for home and loved it so much that I ordered another for my place of work.

Bought a very expensive one for my relative as a present and this one for myself. I must say I like this more. The surface, the wrist rest, the way it sticks in one place on the table - all very good and solid. Well done!
