How long do these pillows have to air out upon first purchase?

I took them from package & just placed on the bed & within the amount of time it took for a load of sheets to dry 30-35 minutes & then I put pillow cases on them & my granddaughter went to bed. We weren't sure how long it would take because when I purchased her mattress it took close to 12 hours.
