Excellent product for Olympus Tough TG in housing, or action cam, especially for the price
I decided to supplement my Sony mirrorless camera in a rather bulky underwater housing with an OM-System TG-7 in its proprietary PT-059 housing, and it did not need a tray as large/wide as the one for my Sony. This product, quite well made, is the perfect size for the TG (and of course it will be for an action cam), and all I had to do was buy and attach two ball mounts, one for a strobe and the other for a video light, to the inward facing tops of this tray and I'm ready to go. My strobe has been on the end of fairly standard rigid ball arm extensions, mounted with ball arm clamps, but I wanted to switch the strobe to a Loc-Line flex mount which might make it a little easier to position the strobe. Unfortunately there's not enough width on this tray to make room for the housing, your right hand to operate the camera, and the Loc-Line flex mount, even if you slide the housing to the right so you can barely get your right hand in. If the tray was only an inch or two wider it wouldn't be a problem, and for those of you using an action cam in a housing, or a TG without a housing, it probably won't be a problem either. It's not a deal-killer for me, but I thought I'd make folks aware.

Basic functionality
Basic frame with good attachment points for camera and lights . The handles are terrible lose foam and rip easily. For the price it's not bad but for a few dollars more you can purchase better quality

Quality Camera Tray
Simple but very well manufactured compact or action camera tray for diving. This is ideal for a TG-6 or GoPro and I ended up purchasing 2 (one for each). Designed as a single piece it provides good stability while remaining streamlined and creating minimal weight and drag. The tray is easy to pack for travel. There are several customizable options including an optional top bracket which can provide additional placement locations for mounting attachments. I utilized the top bracket for my GoPro tray with 2 mounted video lights. The top bracket may prevent camera lens attachments like filters or macro lenses from locking into the up position, but did not interfere with the ability to flip and lock the lens to the side. With my TG-6, I utilize a focus light mounted on the cold shoe of the housing. This prevents the use of the top bracket but using ball mounts on the top of the handles, I utilize 2 small strobes attached with normal clamps for macro photography. There are plenty of options for other configurations to suit your preference. While this tray probably wont be suitable for larger or heavier cameras; you can't go wrong for a smaller camera like a TG-6 or GoPro. This is a great value for a quality tray.

THIS IS SOLID!
To start off the gripping and handling is awesome it almost feels like your hand is stuck to it but its not! It helps big time and easy to use. The size is decent and fit perfectly with my Olympus TG7 is all in all amazing. I do feel thought the width of it seems a smidge wider than I expected but over all would buy again! I lobe this for my underwater photography. All in all a solid product! I am sure it will do amazing video quality as well I just have yet to get the chance to do video.

Do not buy!
1. missing pieces!! 😡 2. this is a piece of crap. There was no way I was bringing this on my dive trip. After putting my light and my GoPro attachments on it they kept moving around and not staying in place. No matter how much I screwed the pieces on they would still get loose. I bought this to be able to use on my dive trips and now I have to return it!!!!

Decent camera tray
I purchased another brand in the past and the screws were not stainless steel and they quickly rusted and became useless. I’ve had this one in the water diving in the ocean several times and so far it has held up. Unlike the previous one I bought, this one has two thumbscrews to hold the camera which is nice. I am happy with the purchase. (I am using it with an Olympus TG-6 and Seafrogs housing.)

Looks like more than it is
It's definitely better that those little sticks you usually see but needs better grips on the sides.
