LOVE IT. I’d better for the price though! It works while you are charging it and if it is charged works without the cord. Comes with a remote, a flash drive, a flash drive adaptor to work with memory cards, a small case that really can only fit the projector (not the remote unfortunately) and of course the projector itself. Images show up clear and bright even when they are shown in a lighted room. Although I wouldn’t recommend projecting a small and dark image in a lighted room, you won’t get much detail. I thought about getting a normal projector but for $100 more the portable compact size and crisp images are well worth it to me. I work on very large canvases so I can’t say too much about how it would be for smaller pieces

I do not use the unit for home theatre. In my use for art work it works well. The only problem I had was that an included 4gb flash drive was corrupted and would not "fix" or "reformat". It did not contain critical data and flash drives are available elsewhere. Not good, but not a deal breaker. I think that for artist, the unit is better than trying to jerry-rig a multimedia projector for closer canvas detail work. Art work is what it's made for and that's what it does. The quick set up guide shows the button on top as a power button. I pushed it and nothing happened. For a moment I thought that the unit was failed. The top button is really a sleep/wake button and the true power button is a slide switch on the side. The slide switch actually turns the power on and off. When I slid it to the on position, all worked well. The Quick set up manual might better handle that. The light output is adequate for working on canvas even in well lighted rooms. No problem there. The image is clear and easily adequate for sketching in details for a painting. The unit is well designed and constructed. I wish a USB cable which would connect the unit to a PC was part of the package. The package does include an HDMI cable. I had an issue with the units light Blinking while moving the projected image up/down to adjust the image. I contacted Customer service and they went to a great deal of effort to provide an answer. It turns out the blinking was the normal image adjustment and was actually a positive feature of the unit, not a problem. I was highly impressed with the customer service response both by email and telephone.

Just got it so still learning but instructions included are sorta worthless as it has pictures for other models all together. There is a web site and phone to call for help though. I think it will do all I need except flip an image which is a shame given that it’s a pricey product. But it’s well made and you get a good image. If you are an artist you’re going to want to get a tripod for it to get best results for sizing and placement

While the picture quality is good, very good in a dimly lit room, there are some really annoying and easily fixable issues. First off, the flash drive is unusable. i could see gibberish files, but couldn't open any, added an image of my own, which was not available when I plugged it into the USB port, though it was clearly there on the drive. I could not reformat it either on Mac or PC. Junk. I tossed it. Why include it? It's obviously garbage. Secondly, the power cord is ridiculously short, doesn't give you much more than table top height to floor. The menus are archaic looking, though functional, and the settings are easy to navigate. Overall, some updated software UI and, dang, do something about the stupid flashdrive and I'd feel like I got my money's worth. I use Apple products so had to buy a USB powered HDMI to lightning cable for the iphone and Macbook to connect, but they did plug-n-play as advertised. So, my own USB drive, another cable and an extension cord and I was good to go. Too bad, since these annoyances should be pretty simple to fix, but adversely impacted my overall response to the product. I don't feel like it's worth the money at this point.

I use it as an enlarger for my painting. Works great when I want to put a picture onto a canvas, big or small. Less time consuming trying to draw it on and everything works out well proportioned. I recommend this product.

I use the Flare 150 to speed up the art process so that I can get on with the painting part more quickly. Can be used anytime and is simple to use.

Seems user friendly. Very small, compact. My only complaint is that its misleading about the connectivity. Bluetooth enabled suggests that you can use Bluetooth tech to wirelessly send images to the projector. This is what I expected. But you have to connect with a cable to your phone, laptop, mobile device. And the cable isn't included, and nowhere in town can I find the right cable. Bluetooth is only for audio. Which i dont need. There is a USB port but that won't dock with my phone either, it has to be a USB storage device. So to get images from my phone I need a special cable with an adapter or I need to transfer the files to my computer then onto a USB. It's a hassle. This day and age technology should allow my phone to connect with this wirelessly, and I felt the description tried to insinuate this but didn't make it super clear to the buyer. Also, a cable or adapter should have been included.
