I replaced my razor e300 motor with this. why does it squeal when power is applied? it's slower than the 2600 rpm razor motor it originally came with

The motor should hum not squeal. This is a brushed motor. I think you need a brushless motor for your application.

What is the rated high temperature limit of this motor, for if I install a over temperature cut off safety switch on the outside case of the motor?

From what I have read 170* F is pretty standard. That being said it would be weird if the motor didn’t have an internal heat cutout already integrated. Mine has never over heated running 12 volts over spec. I took a ride in 105* F with a friend and his bike over heated four times and mine didn’t. Both brushed motors, 500 watt motor over volt’ed 12 volts and 350 over volt’ed. you couldn’t touch his and mine was much cooler to the touch. There are a lot of variables though. I’m also way over the weight limit and look like a clown on the little mx350.

The title says "brushed" while the description and specs say "brushless", so which is it?

very, very unexpected power from a small motor

I actually bought this motor to restore a razor mx400 i bought off of marketplace, and heres what i think despite a razor mx400 having a weight limit of 140 pounds, the stock motor would generate insane levels of heat. This one has quality, as it doesnt even heat up that crazy for a beating. I weigh 177 pounds and it drives like i weigh less than 140 fits very well, no problems at all, and the speed caps at around 17-18 mph, 3 mph more than a stock mx400

An awsome motor,just need to replace the pinion gear to my wheel sprocket,for the same chain ,which is t8f chain,which is a challenge, but I will fab it to fit.
