These are the best
I have tried all of the keto mock oreo cookie varieties on the market and these by far are the best tasting of them all. These taste just like oreos. The reviews that they are a bit harder than oreos is true THey are a bit firmer on the cookie side but the cream filling is on point and soft and it/they don't have any of that weird fake sugar aftertaste like the other varieties do. Taste like sugar 10/10. I dip them in some homeade keto vanilla almond milk and they are actually perfect because they don't sog up and get mushy like regular oreos do, which I actually prefer, but they do soften a bit. They are on the pricey side and they do come in individual packages of 4. Keep in mind that 4 cookies is 2 servings not 1. You probably wont stop after 2 if you are anything like me...you will finish that snack packet in record time, so be aware of that little bit. Once that packet is opened it is gone. They are pricey though so this helps keep me in check and not to eat too many. Definitely a treat, and not a regular snack option do to the price for me, but well done on the flavor profile guys. I'll be trying their other varieties next. I will be purchasing these again.

Perfect Substitute For Oreos
One year ago from today I was 239 lbs and felt really bad about myself, partly because of just how much I loved Oreos. Since then, I have gone on a keto diet with my father (who is doing it for cancer benefits) and seen massive success with weight loss. Today, I am 178 lbs and aiming to be at around 160 lbs by the end of the summer. In order to achieve this substantial weight loss it was necessary for me to find a great alternative to regular Oreos. Catalina Crunch's sandwich cookies were the only option for me for a long while, though their taste, texture, and look are not all that close to that of an actual Oreo. So, I thought that it would be nice to give Rip Van's Leos a try and see if they are any better. And oh my are they better. The Leos have the taste, texture, and look of an actual Oreo nailed, almost scarily so. Seriously, with a blind fold on it might just be impossible to tell which cookie is which. I would highly recommend giving the Leos a try! However, they are fairly pricey (which is to be expected), and for some reason the cookies are packaged inside the box in sets of 4 when the recommended serving size is 2 cookies, which is not great because it makes the leftover cookies both an evil temptation and an annoyance to store. Edit: I made a keto-friendly no bake Oreo cheesecake with the Leos and it turned out amazing, even better than the one I made with actual Oreos. I’ve attached a photo of it to the review so that you can see exactly what is possible with these amazing little cookies!

vegan, 75% of the experience of Oreos, no glucose spike
The picture on the Amazon product page at this writing has an ingredient list that explicitly lists milk products, however that is the old recipe. The current recipe (May 14, 2024), which you can find on the Rip Van website, does *not* include milk products. The label on the box I received warns that it "may" contain milk because the equipment they use is probably also used to produce milk-containing products. So if you have a lethal dairy allergy or feel very strongly about only supporting 100% vegan companies (not sure how one could determine that), then you might want to avoid it. I'm a pretty militant vegan, but the way I see the world, there are functional limits. (Did you know there is gelatin in your tires? The list goes on...) That said... I love Oreos, but I'm very conscious about blood glucose because I wore a CGM for a month once and it completely changed my relationship to carbs. It's like the first time you run your car out of oil and learn the consequences of what you've done to a very expensive piece of machinery. You'll *never* do that again. Similarly, the idea of pegging my blood sugar is now an anathema to me. I'm not diabetic (yet) but I have to live in this body for the rest of my life, and I want it in the best shape possible. Alas, I have a major sweet tooth, so I have a hobby of sorts, where I'm constantly trying to substitute xylitol, erythritol, Stevia, or allulose into various recipes. I also occasionally buy products like these cookies just to assess the state of the art. Like I said in the title, I would call these about 75% of the experience of Oreos. I enjoyed eating them, but I have to admit they taste a little "off" and there is a persistent aftertaste, probably from the Stevia. (In my experience, allulose has no aftertaste.) So if you are a person whose values taste over nutrition or general health, or would prefer to eat one Oreo (who can do that??) instead of four Leos, I guarantee you'll regret buying them. However, if, like me, you want to live a long and healthy life and still have the "idea" of Oreos from time to time, I think you'll appreciate them. The nutrition facts say these have about 1/4 the "sugar" of Oreos; that number is probably derived from the corn and sugar cane fiber, though allulose is also technically a "rare sugar" so perhaps that is included in the total? In fact, it might account for most of it. Of course, neither allulose nor Stevia raise blood sugar, and allulose also reduces the postprandial glucose spike from standard carbs, so you have to take that into account. Unfortunately, I'm not currently using a CGM, so I can't make an empirical determination. Subjectively: I normally don't become aware that I'm cramming true Oreos down my throat until I eat at least eight of them because that's the point where my stomach starts to get a little upset. Conversely, I ate one package of Leos (four cookies, slightly smaller than Oreos) and I don't want any more. I'm guessing that is probably due to a combination of the lack of an addictive response and the aftertaste. I don't yet know whether I will buy these again. We'll see how I feel when the box is gone. My rating isn't just about taste, but includes function. I gave four stars because I believe there is still room for improvement. I'll also be watching to see how they modulate the recipe going forward. They're going to be hard pressed to find something as sweet as Stevia for the filling, but that's probably the only way to get rid of the aftertaste. Maybe they could replace the Stevia with the less sweet allulose and add more fat to compensate, i.e. make them "double stuff." Anyway, I'm sure they're aware of the deficiencies and are working on ways to make them better. It's not an easy problem to solve.

My prayers have been answered! These are LEGIT!
OMG. I love, love, love this company. I first stumbled upon their Stroopwaffles in Starbucks at checkout about 2 years ago. I was strict Keto at the time (since then I am back to my normal weight and dropped 37 lbs) and I avoided them, but saw KETO on the package and the low Net carbs. So I bought one and tried it in the car and was blown away how amazing they were compared to high sugar Stroopwaffles. I have tried a lot of sweet Keto products and they can be hit or miss - sometimes the Xylitol or Stevia leaves an aftertaste and sometimes the whole thing tastes like cardboard and I never take another bite. Even sometimes Monk Fruit can leave an aftertaste too. Not with Rip Van! I have been buying their Stroopwaffles and Wafer cookies for over a year now. THEN I discovered these. I just knew they would be good, but lowered my expectations upon first bite that would taste EXACTLY like an Oreo. But they do!! I mean EXACTLY. Seriously almost too good to be true. In a blind taste test, I would not be able to tell. These have now been added to my monthly subscription. Overall carbs they are 13g per 2 cookies and 200 calories (a pack contains 4), so you do need to watch portion control and not eat the whole box or even a whole packI But when I want to feel like I can have an actual cookie or 2, these do the trick!! Highly recommend every product from this company - they have figured it out!

Not close to OREOs
These cookies do NOT taste like OREOS! OREOs were my favorite cookies before adopting a low carb lifestyle for my health. I’ve tried several different brands catering to low carb and keto lifestyles. Some are pretty tasty ( I’m looking at you High Key). None have closely resembled OREOs. I read several reviews here that said they were like me in regards to the hunt for low carb OREO cookies. They said “taste, texture, and even smell was almost exact. “If OREOs are a 10, then these are a 9.25 or higher easily”. I respectfully and wholeheartedly disagree! My hunt continues. Not to say these are awful or bad cookies. If the comparison to OREOs had never been mentioned, I’d say they are pretty decent. They’ve got pretty good flavor, a nice crunch, but not anywhere near the taste of OREOs, as stated in several reviews, and that was what I was hoping to get. I wish people would just be honest and not be so hyperbolic. Needless to say, My expectations were largely let down. If you want a somewhat expensive, but pretty good, crunchy, chocolate and creme cookie, these are for you. If you’re looking for a low carb OREO, keep looking!

Great semi-guilt free snack.
I feel like doing keto and low carb is a jump. Before you get your palette used to the lower carb foods they are shocking and taste like cardboard. Once you make the jump and give your palette a break from extremely high sugar content foods, these replacements are instantly elevated to your palette. Even though I’m still making the transition, because I’ve done this before I have to say these are a great substitute for a high sugar snack or Oreos. The cookie itself is tougher than a normal Oreo and I would say these would be great to air fry with a low carb breading like pork rinds or similar, they would definitely hold. The serving size is only 2 cookies and each individual package holds 4, I eat all 4. Great guilt free product. This company is a really good option, I’ve had other products by them as well and all were great, my only complaint is I feel like they should be a little cheaper.

Not the same as an Oreo, but quite a lot like one
These are pretty good versions of Oreos. The cooke is a bit more crumbly so you'll get more crumbs, and the aftertaste was initially offputting but after the 2nd bag I didn't mind. I think I went into it really expecting an Oreo taste and needed to be ready for something that is similar but not the same. All the Rip Van stuff is really expensive given the amount you get, but it's also fresh, tastes good, and is healthier and vegan so it's not so bad. The cookies come in four to a pack and the serving size is for two cookies so be mindful of that. I'd definitely order these again. It's like 90% of what an Oreo tastes like and that's fine by me.

Red the Sugar and Carbs Carefully If You Have Type 2
Let me start by saying these taste great, both flavors, but chocolate tastes as good as the one with all the sugar we all know and love. Ok, so I am that guy who monitors everything they consume using a CSG (glucose monitor) because I have type 2 diabetes, even though it is not weight-related. Last night, after I ate the whole pack of four, I noticed my blood sugar spiked above my normal range, please remember everyone is different. I quickly read the label, and it is well labeled that the serving size is ONLY TWO, not the whole pack. The point is that if you eat the whole pack you are eating 6 grams of sugar and 26 grams of carbs once you subtract the dietary fiber for a total of 220 calories. These are great alternatives, but in my case, I could only get away with eating two cookies versus the whole pack if I wanted to keep my blood sugar level in the recommended glucose range. Again, it's delicious tasting. Just be aware if you are type 2 before you take down the whole pack, just be aware if you have type 1 or 2 diabetes. Everyone is different but this is my personal experience, and wanted to share it. I hope this helps someone else. Enjoy this great-tasting snack.
