I could return but I figured it would be easier to just glue it myself so that's what I'm going to do. There is a lot of tension on the bottom joint compressing the spring and pulling all the sections together. If if fails again, I'll put a small screw or something through the side along with epoxy. Also this is only 1 pole, not a pair. Not sure why they sell them that way.
