V333 Tie-Down Push Button Door Latch, Aluminum, No Lock Out

Well made and fairly easy to install but you may need to be a bit handy to adjust wall strike plate. Attractive looking albeit slightly smaller than the screen door handle it replaced so could not place bottom screw. This did not matter as it was held very securely by upper screws. So far over the past month it had worked reliably without any loss of spring motion.

Bought 2 of them to replace current ones on lanai screen doors. Perfect size and fit and easy to install. Now the screen doors latch correctly when closing.

We had an old storm door we’re eventually (like a lot of projects) going to replace. The latch was wearing out and I was concerned about a dog breakout. I got the “aluminum” finish which I thought would be metal with clear coat but instead is a aluminum colored paint. Installation was easy as all the holes lined up with my old handle. The latch plate didn’t fit using the holes from the old plate - the new latch needed the plate to be closer to the door than the previous one. Not a problem with the product, just my door situation. Seems to work solidly and latches securely (sorry doggos - gonna have to stay inside).

What a difference in quality. I had purchased a different brand (from Amazon) and had nothing but problems. Soon it jammed. So I purchased this one. Excellent quality great instructions. Provision for different doors and jams. Solid design and construction.

Worked on the door and matched frame.

Take your old door handle off and measure the distance between the 3 holes, center to center. THEN order the correct size. With this handle you may have to drill an additional hole at bottom of handle to give it another screw attachment to door. My old handle did not have this extra screw so I had to drill a hole for it. I chose this handle because of the extra secure mount. I could have gotten one without that screw at base of handle. Very easy installation, I recommend it.

The quality of the product was excellent. Installation presented no problems, however while installing the handle, I misplaced the small spring. I called the company a told them of my loss and without hesitation, said they would send me a new one. I was surprised when just a day or two the spring arrived. Also I noted that they paid more for postage than certainly expected.. Well done indeed folks at Hampdton Products Int’l Crop.

Normally I'd have not have risked purchased this, but I was in a time crunch for a quick repair. I've been lucky with a hassle free installation, but the low quality materials shows. I expect this handle and every handle I ever consider purchasing to work without flaw for the next 20-40 years. I'm not going to be surprised if I'm futzing and replacing this handle in 6mo to 6 years. Performs as advertised at installation. Will not be returning or demanding refund (for being tricked into buying more unwanted garbage) unless it fails before I move. Installing was easy. My old screen door's existing drill holes lined up and I did not have to install the doors first handle by drilling new holes. Be prepared for this though if the handle doesn't line up for your door. This you can not measure for based on the information provided on the Store page. I was lucky as I didn't take my own advice by measuring my door width first. Installation time was 45min including tool gathering and cleanup. I read the directions, the wind was blowing a bit and I still mismeasured once and didn't shorten the center rod that needed removed and shortened. ;) * Lock: Non keylock version for indoor locking only. Some reviewer's complain about the lock not locking. It has a nice anti-lockout feature built into the latch so you don't accidently lock yourself out. Works well and is automatic. * COLOR and materials: Materials are a mix of plastic and aluminum. The whole thing is painted light GRAY. The spring is also thin, which I expect to rust too soon. This is NOT a brushed aluminum finish I was hoping to better match with my door. Installation instructions are adequate but printed VERY SMALL. The installation instructions need to be posted on the Store page. Read all the reviews before you decide to purchase this frequently returned item. Overpriced for what it is at $14 and high risk of early failure based on other reviews.
